Spike can be so lucky that he has Buffy - and that Buffy is Buffy, not giving up.
But William's soul still seems to be an issue. One that Buffy will help with if she can.
I hope she can help. Spike is still not well yet. But maybe having Buffy there will help though at one point he needs to feed too.

Enjoyed this update. Liked the twist, very clever! Can't wait till the next chapter, hopefully Spike will tell Buffy about his shiny new soul and his spectral visitors.

I love that their passion is so uncontrolled. Even if they need to deal with that freedom of abandon, I'm glad that they are still trying. Too much good between them to stop trying. As if they ever could stay apart from each other. Loved the reunion with Faith, too. Those two have pretty exciting banter. It's not Spuffy, but I love it too. Update soon. Really enjoying this one.

They pretty much can't have enough of each other and when passion takes over, all thoughts and concerns fly right out of the proverbial window. Poor Spike, fangy at the wrong time (well, in his mind anyways). Spike seems to have a Jimny Cricket inside him, even without the soul, to bad he doesn't see that.

Author's Response: I always felt Spike was torn between the two worlds since he fell in love with Buffy on the show and I couldn't help but incorporate it here, though in a bit different circumstances. You'll see how he achieves it soon. ;) Faith has confessed indeed and there were actually some bits and pieces before that showed she was a potential. :) But it's the potion Spike injected that caused her current condition. Wow Spike would do a lot for Buffy. That ritual doesn't sound pleasant. More points for Spike.

So Faith confessed. Yeah that could mean more fighting power, longer living slayers. Spike will take care of this anyway. But second - yeah, Spike is different even without a soul. I think with time he would get stronger than the demon.

Author's Response: Nope, not pleasant at all, but you know those Middle Ages people... they like the gore. :D I think. But we already know there's not a thing Spike wouldn't do for Buffy. However, it's just not about her either. Two slayers mean twice as many dead demons and they can watch each other's backs. It's a win-win! I agree with you 100% on the Spike situation. But Buffy is mortal (as far as we know) so he can't risk trying to learn control his instincts, which would probably take decades. We'll see how it pans out but either way, Spike will remain Spike. :) Thank you for the yummy review!!! :D

Author's Response: That's what you get for losing the pants as well. *grins* That was probably the best part, then the things went a bit off the course. But as you said, it could have been worse. Giles took it rather well... he's a bit more open-minded than in canon since there was no Angelus to kill his girlfriend. Faith will have to adjust slightly to the new power she has, but don't worry... she won't go all crazy and evil. It was pretty impulsive of Spike. ;) We'll see where it will lead him.
