Awe :) When I've read that Buffy found Spike's (her) red hair tie I hoped finding this would show Buffy something (tell her / prove her). Good to see I wasn't wrong about it. Maybe it will help Buffy wo works things out, knowing (and believing now) Spike didn't forget her. They still dancing around each other for now....
I'll cross my fingers that you still can update twice a week. :)

The way they are together, even when unsure, or with unbridled lust, it's just hard to imagine it any other way, despite how much they still have to work out. And I believe that he is right, the rest will work itself out, cause there is no going back. Those two surely would not have survived that dark evening so long ago if they had not become the super powered beings that they did, and those two separate twists of fate really did little more than seal the deal that they are meant to be together. Such a deep thought. Thanks for making me think it. Eagerly awaiting more.

What a traumatic "no-win" scenario Buffy faced. With Darla dusted and Spike with Buffy, Drusilla must be crazier than ever! Hope that Spike is not faced with revulsion from Buffy because he is a demon. Look forward to more.

Author's Response: You're right! Even if she killed Darla, Buffy had a loss on her side as well even if it looked for a moment that everything would turn out just fine and without anybody being hurt. Drusilla got away and you'll get to see her reaction soon though not in the next chapter yet. The next update will be all about Buffy and Spike, so you'll get tosee Buffy's reaction to Spike's demon. Poor, poor Spike. I stand by my earlier review, kill Darla and Dru, everyone else gets a reprieve...for now. I enjoyed how you made a simple act of sucking a finger seem erotic!

Uh-huh... I was worried when Giles told about the killings (when Buffy thought it could be Spike) but his injuries proved that it wasn't him. Spike only taking blood from Buffy's finger and not more showed how much she can trust him.
But Faith now a bait for Buffy, her (Faith) and Giles maybe dead soon doesn't sound well. And Spike is still too weak. I wonder who let them in....

Author's Response: You know I couldn't have let her think he was just leading her on and lying for long. :) Finding him in such a state proved to her it wasn't Spike so there's at leats one good thing about him being tortured. Well, the only good thing probably. Unless you like incoherent Spike. ;) That sucking on her finger thing actually came to me as I thought of the epi Sleeper when Spike was all feral in the basement, the fledgings holding Buffy arms and he was about to bite her then licked the cut on her arm. Don't you worry too much about the trap... you know I won't do anything that would have you too upset with me. :) As to who let them in, you'll also find out in the next chapter. Where to begin...kill off Faith for interrupting; kill off Buffy for resisting him so long; kill off Spike for not just ravishing her; and kill off Darla and Dru for just being them, all giggly and annoying. Wait...that only leave Giles, and who wants to read about his fear of tampons and his stuffyness. I trust you that the next chapter will be great, whomever you kill or not kill off.
