The scene of Buffy's violation where the heaven's opened up and seemed to be crying for her made it look like she was a sacrificial lamb taken by evil in a holy place. Sad and horrible but yet she still survives beyond the experience. If her nightmares show her anything compassionate at all, it would be that she is the victim and is not impure. Insult to injury, after such an ordeal, she is accused of unknown crimes. She is of strong constitution to still have her mental capacities after all that she has endured. Hoping that her strength holds out for whatever torments she is to suffer at the hands of her jailers. Darla, Jenny and Dru seem to be women of strength also, and I wonder if Buffy is Drusilla's daughter that was kept secret. Look forward to more.

Author's Response: That was the image I was hoping you's get, though i deliberately avoided mentioning sacrificion myself. The painted walls of little angels were her only witness - aside from her assailant. What happens next shall be revealed - again through nightmarish dreams. Andrew and chess pieces and Glorificus limping imply that Andrew is a sick puppy who needs a keeper twenty-four seven. Poor Buffy, hope that her emotional release with Andrew doesn't weaken her spirit. Look forward to more.

Author's Response: Heya Vette! Yup, it was Anya. Spike is quite knowledgeable in torture - his job after all. This type of torture was subtle, but efficient and was used for real in history. Restless Andrew will be the wild card in all this. And Buffy crying - believe me, the best thing for her. :) You'll see in the next few chapters, as the story slowly turns around.. great chapter. I enjoyed how you have moved the story along. I didn't find it the least bit confusing....well, there is the bit about the chess pieces...but besides that, not confusing at all! Great job, sweetie!

They scare people so much that sometimes they'd confess without ever even needing to endure the physical torture. Horrible, I know... Heh...the chess incident..
