Wow!

So sad, yet so very human. How silly our quest for success seems some time. I can only wonder if these two can face their regrets together and go on.

Wonderful writing as usual.

spuf

Author's Response: *blush* Thanks as always, spufette. Yes, at times things that aren't that important shadow those that are. More will be coming.

I am completely enraptured by this story! I hope you continue with regular updates until it is completed. :)

Author's Response: Welcome diamellin! I'm so flattered you are "enraptured" by this story. Don't worry, I have no intentions of leaving this story unfinished. Hopefully you will enjoy the rest (I'd like to hear more from you too...hint...hint...LOL!)

Wow...what a heartbreaking chappie. I feel so sad for Spike and Buffy. :( I kinda guessed it was the loss of a baby but I thought the baby had been born...not a miscarriage. And of course Spike feels so guilty cause he wasn't there(damn stupid Lilah!) and Buffy shut down and everything went to hell.
Our poor Spuffy.

Hopefully now they'll start to heal together, cause they still love each other.

Really, really good writing, hard to read but so well written.

Plz post more soon. :)

Author's Response: Thanks so much, Ami! I always look forward to your supportive and insightful reviews. More will be coming soon. Thanks again! Big hugs!

So glad they finally talked, it was getting claustrophobic in that house. Is there more to the miscarriage than just a simple medical issue? It sounded like there were details being held back. Also, why would Spike put so much blame on himself if the fetus wasn't viable to begin with unless something happened to cause her miscarriage, something he could have prevented by being around? Am I reading too much into this?

Author's Response: Ya, the talk was needed--big time! You have lots of questions, which I want to answer, I really do...but I don't want to disclose the contents of the next chapter. So, Minx, you'll have to forgive me for just saying this: No but yes, you are reading too much into this, and thanks a boat load for reading and reviewing. :)

What an awful thing to have happened. Sad doesn't even cover it. Where can they go from here??

Author's Response: Thanks photo for your review. It was a very difficult chapter for me to write. All will be answered soon, I promise

That was quite intense, and very much the tragic kind of turning point that it would take to separate those two. And perhaps this is going to bring them some closure. Truly emotional. Hope they get to a new place. Update soon.

Author's Response: Yes, it was intense to write also. I was only able to work on a few paragraphs at a time. Loosing a child is always an extremely difficult event. For everyone involved. I will be updating soon. Thanks for your review.

*nods* The "rest" line fits perfectly.
No wonder Spike beats himself because he wasn't there for Buffy. It was a string of things that got in motion. If his phone hadn't been taken... who knows if it would have made a difference. The 'what if' thinking is the worst.
Good chapter - lots of emotion.

Author's Response: Thanks cordy. I'm glad the last line worked. Exactly, "what if" thinking is always the worst. A person can get and stay caught up on the "what ifs" and drive themselves crazy. Thank you for taking your time to read and review my story.

I thought they probably lost a child and were not able to deal with the loss together. You did a great job explaining what happened. Hopefully, they will find a way back to each other. .

Author's Response: Yes, the loss was difficult for the both of them. This is doubled when they didn't have one another to rely on. Thanks so much that you felt I explained this well. More will be coming soon. Big Hugs

Poor Buffy and Spike, I suspected something like that happened to them. I can see why they're relationship was torn apart. The guilt alone that Spike must have felt would have been enough to drive a wedge through them. I'm sure that at the time Buffy was to distraught herself to really care what happened to him but just cared that he wasn't there for them. Great chapter, but now I just want some more! Hope we get another update soon. :-)

Author's Response: Exactly demona! You've summed this chapter up so well. I'm so glad you enjoyed and I will be posting soon. Thanks so much for taking time to review. Big hugs!!!

So, the loss of a child was their undoing.. and Will not being there.
Now to see what happens next. Forgiving.. of himself.. Now what does Buffy want... he has signed the papers..

Author's Response: A loss of a child can undo even the strongest of relationships. It's strange, you think when a couple is sharing a lost this would bring them closer together. Unfortunately, it tears them apart. More will be coming soon
