Uh-huh... marriage proposal. What a bad surprise for Spike - or a bit of reality. Though it came for Buffy as a surprise too even if it shouldn't have.

Since Buffy has been with Angel since High School I think she got too used to him and never really thought about her options. I think Buffy should have thought about the engagement for a bit! Can't wait for more!

I love the reliving of the childhood sleepover. I totally did that with my bestest friends before the first one got married. General observation about those kinds of things... take the commemorative pictures the night before the morning after! And I love the nostalgia sex, maybe they will have a thing again. And Spike did a pretty good job handling Buffy's announcement. I love it! Update soon!

Your writing and characterizations are both amazing as always. Something about your stories makes them both engrossing and heartwarming at the same time.

This story is a bit of downer though (especially compared to the Best Man, which I loved) because it is not at all fun for me to watch Angel and Buffy stay together as long as this.

It's also definitely not fun to watch him take her for granted, and then see her just accepting it.

Spike's angst makes my heart go out to him, but at the same time I can't help wondering why he keeps pursuing women who are technically taken -- that's a little hard to respect.

Oh well, at least Angel is absent a lot; I wish Buffy would wake up and see that someone who spends so much time away, and who avoids her friends, can't really be in love with her.

Doesn't look good for the HomeTeam.. and many people that posted earlier thought the "question" was being popped at that special birthday dinner.
But... waiting for what creates the problem that makes Buffy break it off with Angel..
