Love the electric charge between them. I wonder if he's figured out that he can't stay away from her yet, and that besides him being a love sick fool at heart and that they are already indelibly connected, there is probably going to be a reason for that. After all, if you can't beat them, join them! And I suppose, parents just don't understand. :) Awesome. Update soon!

Author's Response: There will always be a strange sort of awareness between them, I figure. Spike is in denial over her so far but he'll have to face the fact he keeps being drawn to her despite the fact he promised himself he wouldn't. There is a reason for their connection, of course. :) Hank is very protective of Buffy and he only wants the best for her. Like most most parents. Doesn't mean Buffy always understands. *grins* I enjoyed Buffy's talk with her dad. Too bad (in Buffy's eyes) that Spike has a bad timing. *gg* Or that Buffy's inner warning systems needs still improvement, not warning her in time.

Author's Response: She definitely is and doesn't have a clue. I figured Cecily wouldn't see farther than the tip of her own nose and I wanted William to have that unrequited crush just like he had in canon.
Hee... I had fun writing that. As I had with the interaction in the next chapter between Buffy/Spike/Hank. That should be fun. ;)
