I find ANY news to be loathesome and biased (To quote John Mayer: And when you trust your television,

They can bend it all they want), I therefore refrain from watching ANY news program or reading any newspapers. Ever. LIving in the dark, in my own little world, is my solace. That said, I do agree that taking pot shots at tractor songs was a bit low ... Can't you see Spike on a tractor, wiih Buffy in his lap ala Petticoat Junction? No? You obviously have missed a great deal not living in God's country, America's breadbasket. I'm guessing you'll get an education very soon! ;-)



Lastly, the one thing I found lacking in this chapter is tears ... I would've liked to have had tears for William and it didn't get me there. I'm hopeful they will soon appear.

Author's Response: Ah, I live in Missouri now - and it inspired the Tractor song joke :) I do think Joss set up a framework for taking potshots at pop culture as well. (The Kardashians really got the worst of it). I wasn't going for tears in this chapter, but more horror. Horror-tears would have ROCKED tho!

Uht-Oh ... Sounds like Dru is in the crate ... (Pretty Maids ... one of the few (only?) Dru/Spike books) and Mayor Wilkins is helping her? Guess we'll find out ... Poor Buffy, seasick on her honeymoon... that sucks ... in an unliteral way.

Author's Response: Coolio! I didn't know about a pretty maids reference in a book, just seemed like a Dru thing to say. Huzzah!

And again it seems orgasm is the mark of complete change for them. Guess the talking really never will work for two who are best based in action. And Dru seems to have angered Warren pretty solidly. I almost feel bad for her, trapped and alone with her dolls and visions. But not bad enough. She did spawn a big streak of protectiveness in both of our blonds, though. Any way to bring them together. Love their progress, and do hope that you keep up with this story here. Happy holidays, and update soon!

Author's Response: Buffyrat, I'll keep the story here - if just for you :) Posting here can be a little trying as it requires a lot more html coding and stuff. If also sometimes feels that so few people are reading it, I should pack my marbles and go home. But, as long as you keep reading, I'll keep posting. So far this was my favorite chapter in the tale and the one that felt the most like "Yours, William" did.

Love William getting all brazen and combining that with his innate William logic. The deception bit is clearly something that is just William, as Spike never was very good at Spinning a yarn. But what is his real motive to getting his wife a bath. Could it be untoward? I sure hope so. They're sparking. It is nice to see them falling for each other all over again. Shame they don't realize they have no say in the matter. :) Love it. Update when you can. If not, Happy Holidays now!

I love it. And I am so glad she came back to herself a bit. Guess all it really took was a familiar face. :) Even if it was an evil familiar face. And for her to be nice to William, though how could you really not? And for her to accept the fact the she, herself, (even if it is her future self) chose this world, that maybe there's a reason for it. Well, Spike fell for Buffy once, then got her to fall for him. And then she got William to fall for her, and she really fell for him, so I'm guessing, William can woo Buffy. That really started to sound like one of those confounding word problems from forth grade math class. I'm pretty sure the answer is 5, or possibly pi. Just in case you were wondering. Great chapter. I love them, and think they just thrive when they have a mission. Can't wait for more. Update soon!

Author's Response: Funny review - made me laugh. It gets a bit tricky with 4 of them in the picture: William, Spike, Buffy and Elizabeth. I have managed to get myself in a bit of a spot writing wise. I had no idea that real life could impact writing so much. I hope to get back to a place where I can write this story again very soon. Thanks so much for your feedback.

I'd keep going to that tire shop, as Spike would say....Sod the smirking dudes and just be yourself. This chapter was really a turning point in their new relationship. Can they beat destiny? Or will desitny teach them that what they want and what they get are two different things. Look forward to more.

It would seem in this particular moment that having a slayer around may be a good thing. Wonder how she knew. Though it certainly is about time she at least starts being nice to William, even if she doesn't really like him, bloke lost pretty much everything. Saving his life may prove to be a good start. Gonna have to be some kind of conversation after this one. Can't wait to see how it all plays out. And if Miss Edith really does rally the troops. :) Update soon!
