Buffy is so busy trying to catch William as Spike that she is blind to the possibility that he is not playing a trick on her. It appears that the love that William is showing her is making it painful to come to terms with how she thinks only the worst of Spike. Drusilla makes it clear that Willilam's days are numbered and Buffy may get her wish of meeting the Spike she expects. Look forward to more.

Love the ending of this chapter, made me laugh. The tender way William takes care of Buffy is worth reading, perhaps William and Buffy can ask the doctor to demonstrate the machine to them with his own wife? That should put the shoe on the other foot. If Drusilla shows up, they could fend her off with the machine telling her it is a new kind of stake. Look forward to more.

I love how it never crosses her mind that his tale paints her as his wife, why shouldn't he get all hot and bothered after a few days of celebacy? I'm still loving this story, and thank you for the great explanation about how Buffy might not be a particularly palatable character. However, I still wonder where 'Elizabeth' has gone- destroyed? Sent to Buffy's place in time? Will you touch that subject, or are you concentrating on the here-and-now? Or are you going to make me be patient and wait-and-see? Still, love the story, and can't wait to see what happens now!

As we sit and plot this whole x-rated haunted mansion, I really think Disney has made it easier than it needs to be. Did you know they've put together a whole story about the Bride with the beating heart? She's had like 5 husbands "die" on her. And dude, a girl that marries 5 times was so going at it with the butler, gardener, chauffeur, Victorian pool boys, and the cast of Newsies. Sex, murder, and if you're a ghost, I'm pretty sure you can get naked really fast and at will. It's a transparent orgy. Looking forward to more. ;)

I am not a fan of the good doctor. So glad they managed to not treat her, though the Victorian conversation explaining such things was pretty priceless. And I'm glad she's still wearing the ring, something about that has to feel familiar and tie her back to the part of herself that is in love with William. A long time coming, I've no doubt, but a heart broken, kicked puppy William cannot be resisted. It's a simple fact, like gravity pulls things down, and Victorians have wacky past times. :) The same day as the crazy has started and I already get the impression of gentler relations. Wonderful drama, update soon!
