Happy to see more of this. Spike and his rage, taking it out on her, and still she protects him. Good to see she's protecting herself a bit, too. Hope he can learn what she's really made, that a soul is not what is needed for love... Such a challenge when it's the one thing he's sure of. And this whole thing with the initiative. I have a real fondness for reveral role fics like this but most of them never seem to get finished. I hope that this proves the exception! I love seeing an update. And I really like the way that you evolving their relationship--it is not quite the same as what happened in the TV series and I like your version better. Didn't like Spike beating Buffy up but perhaps it will be a turning point in their relationship. And I never did like Forrest. I always found him to be a bully. I hate the thought of him ever touching Buffy. I hope he gets his in the end.
