I must tell you, i love how you make stories out of the smaller things, not just the life threathening screaming apocalypses. Makes the universe all the more real!

Author's Response: Heehee! I really think that Spike and Xander could've been friends if Xander would've just accepted the whole 'Spike loves Buffy' issue and dropped his holier-than-thou attitude. In the few scenes the two 'teamed up', you could see the potential funnies that were lurking there. Glad you enjoyed the chapter - it was one of the more fun ones to write! Thanks, aly!! You're pretty much past the angst now! Yay!

The series really missed the boat on not having this kind of relationship between Spike and Xander – friends in spite of themselves. So glad to learn it was Xander in the relationship with Dawn and not Spike! Thanks for another great update and I had already planned to follow you on EF but I certainly hope that doesn’t become necessary. More soon please.

Author's Response: Hi Melly! Oh, I agree! There were flashes of what could've been between Spike and Xander, but the writers never let Xander loosen up enough (about vamps in general and Spike in particular) to really get to this kind of snarking friendship. I honestly have a mental problem with either Xander or Spike in a relationship with Dawn, but I could accept Xander better than Spike in that role. Like for Spike, Dawn will always be 14 to me! Maybe if I'd read the comics, I could see her differently. I also hope TSR stays up. I really love it here. Thanks much!
