I will never again be able to see a commercial or buy a pack of M&M’s without the vision of ‘Fornicating M&Ms’ in my head!! I think this chapter may be my favorite as well!! I really love the relationship Spike has with the children and how you write his conversations with Billy. I’m really looking forward to Buffy and Annie meeting Gertie Greenbrier (what a great name!) thanks for another brilliant update, more soon please.

So glad you liked this chapter - I really didn't know when I started it that Spike would find a way to shut down SHRUG (although I knew he and the kids would be painting the house). I sooo love Spike as a dad. He's so earnest and tries so hard, I think, to impart wisdom in a gentle way. Not that kids usually listen, but maybe some of it will get through to them so they don't make all the same mistakes he did (we all do?) when he was young. The more I write Billy, the more I adore him. I knew, of course, that I'd love him when he was older and looking a lot like his dad, but it's happened a whole lot sooner than I anticipated.
