Ouch, my spuffy heart hurts, but I understand that this is a threesome story and I have actually nothing against that kind of thing. But I want them to at least like and respect each other. I feel like both Dawn and Spike lack both respect and empathy of any kind and I just want to slap them both with some sense (and then maybe kick them out of that airplane…no, just kidding). I´m really curious how Buffy will fit into this equation, especially with her head held high. I hope she'll have the power in this threesome and make them understand what betrayel feels like. I think this actually is the first story where I really dislike Spike and want Buffy with someone else in the end. And that has never happend before. Which in a way is a compliment to your writing. I´m getting way to involved in this story, even tough I don´t actually like the storyline, and kind of hate Dawn/Spike I cant´t stop reading….So, yeah, you,'re good. But please give Buffy some depth and Spike and Dawn some consciense. Pretty please?




Author's Response: As i mentioned before, these are not very nice people. Buffy's made certain compromises. I think Spike does like and love Buffy in this story. Buffy certainly loves her husband, even though she doesn't like him (at times). Dawn certainly likes and loves Spike (in her own mind) Dawn thinks that her stepmom is a gold digger (debatable). How could she thus like or respect her? Anyway, there's a long way to go.

Was just thinking, you should post this on Friends or Lovers. It's a Spawn website and it is still active. It would be a huge hit there!

Really good writing, but the story makes me kinda of sad, mostly for Buffy. She has a step-daughter that hates her and wants to sleep with her husband and a husband who sleeps with loads of other women and only thinks about screwing their step-daughter. Where is the love? Why are they even married? I wish you could give Buffy some backbone or a lover of her own or something just to make her a little less alone and unwanted. And I really hope that she will participate in this threesome ( because I guess that's where we're heading) of her own will and not just because it´s something her not so nice husband wants.


Author's Response: Well first of all i completely understand what you're saying. But you have to understand that this fic was in response to a taboo Buffy/Spike/Dawn challenge. And in my head, the only way that could ever happen if the three of them were not so nice people in an AU universe. Or vampires. I chose the AU. So here they are, these not nice people. This story, for me at least, is all about the smut. I don't think either Dawn or Spike hate Buffy. Dawn is just a nineteen year old who lusts after 'Daddy,' perhaps confusing it with love. She only 'hates' Buffy in a childish way, because Buffy has what she wants. Spike, like so many powerful men, separates love from lust. Cue any politician or actor who's ever been caught cheating. In his mind, he can shag the entire female population of LA and still go home at the end of the day. Pathetic? Yeah. True? Yeah, i think so. And this AU Buffy, well. She might surprise you. Anyway, i hope i haven't mislead you or anything. This story was always meant to be smutty. End of story.
