I have been reading offline, so I've been remiss in leaving feedback. So even before I read the next chapters, I wanted to say: I'm enjoying this story!

I particularly appreciated the interactions of Spike with people other than Buffy, and Giles with the wolf spirit. It seems a richer story than if it merely focused on the main pair.

It's important to have the whole team work together and interact. If you're going to include the characters you have to give them something useful to do :) - wolf

I feel that stories that deal exclusively with Spike/Buffy interaction lack something, and always end up wondering how things will go between Spike and the other characters so including his building (or otherwise) relationship with everyone else is important to me. Great start, love Joyce and Spike bonding, always makes me smile. So... Spike as a eco warrior, nah I'm with Buffy sounds well dodgy.
