I do like your stories, but I'm not sure if you can redeem Spike (for me) in this one. It's unbelievable that he didn't support Buffy through her mother's death, or TRY to talk to her about any of it- all he's done is add to her problems, and that's all he's doing still. Anyways... I like the story because the characters come across as real people but I don't see any reason why Buffy should give Spike another chance. I certainly don't want a non-Spuffy ending- what I'd really like to see is Spike actually realizing what a dick he's been! Anyways, please update soon!

Wow. Opinions are on the rampage with this story. Well, I don't want to be left out. ;) Personally, I've been pissed at Spike this whole time and frustrated at BOTH. Lack of communication is the culprit in this story, and they are both to blame for that; however, I do feel Spike was too rash in his 'abandonment' of Buffy. She lost her mother, her only family in this story. She was depressed. It is my understanding (and experience) that depressed people often don't put up much of a fight for or effort into many things. A relationship could just be one of those things. I am a Buffy sympathizer. Mostly. Great story, btw. I have enjoyed reading it. I check the sight before I go to bed and when the alarm clock rings (cause you sneak updates in here and there...not always on a 24 hour schedule with the updates. ;) And as always, thank you for sharing with us.

I thought they werre both equally at fault until this chapter. Spike encouraging Harmony, who he knows has designs on him, while wanting to prove that he wants to be with Buffy? Spike is screwing up. He hasn't tried to see the mother of his children all that much in a month? Screwing up. Hopefully he will be a better father than a "ex-boyfriend",

I'm on Buffy's side. Spike tihnks that by dancing with Harmony (regardless of how he feels about her but has to know that Harmony has designs on him) is the way to win back Buffy's heart and ensure that they will be happy? He is stupid even for a male. Plus he neve asked Buffy to clarify anything when she pushed him away but still acted like she like him. (Supposedly he lost a parent but couldn't relate to what she was going through?) He definitely has a lot of growing up to do before he can be a responsible father to the children. Hopefully there will be a lot of communication in the future.

This chapter was very well done. You did a wonderful job of explaining to me why Buffy did what she did. I'll admit that I was with the latter group- I thought that it was all Buffy's fault. Now I understand a little better and am back to rooting for a happy Spuffy ending. And the kicking babies thing? Almost made me cry! Good job!

First off, I want to say I REALLY like this story and that's why it has me all worked up and bitchy. If I didn't like it I wouldn't bother reviewing it. I know you're trying to redeem Spike with these past two chapters but I still don't understand what the hell he's doing. As I read this last one all I could think is, okay, he's young. What's he 20 here and he's having twins? Give him a break. Don't be too hard on him because he's at the Bronze dancing with Harmony while Buffy is waddling about helplessly pregnant. After all, he did CALL Buffy every day to make sure she's okay though she never SAW much of him for the past MONTH. I mean, he did try to patch things up with her and he said "we'll be happy again, just wait" at the end of the last chapter so going out to the Bronze and dancing the night away with OTHER WOMEN is a great way to begin the relationship mending with Buffy, now, isn't it?

Author's Response: Okay, I want everyone to know that my A/N for this chapter was not directed at anyone in particular. I do love reading all the reviews that are posted and for people to take the time to write something means a lot to me. I don't mind that people have such strong opinions about this story, though it is funny that on this site, most gang up on Spike, while on another site, no one can stand Buffy. To Oona - I am still working on redeeming Spike (and Buffy, to anyone who may be reading this and not agree). If you don't like him right now, that's understandable. He's still got a way to go, but most of the angst is over. Hopefully, after the next few chapters he will be more likeable to everyone who doesn't like him right now, but I realize it takes time. We've got a while before this story is finished, because I want to make sure everyone is happy with the outcome. Thank you so much for reviewing - I'm sorry I don't respond to a lot of reviews, but on this site, while it doesn't take long to read the reviews it does take at least half an hour for my computer to load all of the reviews for me to respond (not kidding). If anyone has a question for me, don't hesitate to e-mail me. I appreciate anyone who takes the time to review or e-mail. Thank you so much!

I think I'm one of the reviewers who is more on the side of Buffy but I still love Spike. Another great chapter, the angst was great and it was nice to see Buffy have a bit of a cathartic moment. It will be nice to see those two crazy kids back together again.
