Wow, I've every episode like a billion time but especially the one where she dies and the ones after. Most fics don't get me to cry but the end of this chapter was BRILLIANT and had me balling. Such good description, how true it all is about grief. Great job!!!

You know I had wondered how you were going to fit in baby William. I like the fact that you do the courtesy to your readers to figure it out for themselves. Makes me feel all intelligent and stuff.

How can Willow be so blind? So sure only she knows what is best. It was like that in the show and you have just cristalised it. Good going.

Okay that was just - WOW!
You know I am glad that you keep some things from the series, pretty sure I don't have to tell you which. And I am monumentally glad you changed some others, like Giles finally having a clue that no matter what he wants for her normal just isn't gonna cut it. And Xander gets his smackdown. They really let that character go over the series.
So good stuff and I will move on now to the next chapter.

You know it is okay to rant. Especially as you are most definetly not alone in your opinion. There is a review coming as well by the way.
You know I kinda drifted away from Buffy for a while and then when I heard she was going to die - because who didn't - I thought right just for nostalgia I'll watch that. And I was just sucked in and I went back and watched all the episodes of that season adn was gobsmacked, the whole thing, but especially how Spike changes.
And then season six came around and while I think it has some great episodes, like the musical and possibly Tabula Rasa, it just didn't tug at me the same way. And I just got sick and tired with how they insisted on treating Spike, all of them. The moment that killed it for methough, was when Buffy is sobbing to Tara about letting an evil thing touch her and Tara never says a word in his defense. TARA who was saved from her parents by this guy, who watched him take care of Dawn, get tortured for Dawn and Buffy, never said a word. And that's when it died. So I am glad I found this because it is as the show should have been. And I am secure in the knowledge that Willow is going to get an asswhupping and Spike will get - well is getting - the gratitude he deserves. Thank you.

At least somebody says thanks. Although I suppose in your world Dawn already has and although Tara hasn't she has realised.
I just find this overlaying what i have seen, which is good. It means your in character and so on and so forth.

OH MY GOD. I can't believe I never thought of that. If Dawn had been a true clone she would have looked much more similar. Blue eyes, huh? Who'd ha thunk.
And can I just say, that Willow is a complete git but and I cant stress this enough not OOC.
Well done

YES.
That's exactly it. I always had the feeling that Spike's redemption was more valid and assured than Angel's, just because of who and how he is. Takes more to be good when you have no guiding light than when you do. And Angel's still a git even with one.
I was so beyond dissapointed with BtVs after season five, with how all the characters just pretended as if the summer had never been. Dissapointed in Whedon - although he was off doing other things, so maybe dissapointed with the rest of the writers. That's when the show died for me.

I don't know if this is worse or not. In the show we never see the process Willow goes through when deciding about bringing Buffy back. It's just like one day she just turns around and kills a little roedeer.
But this. Checking and knowing Buffy is not in the dimension she might have fallen into, but still deciding to go on with what she knows, implicitely, is dark and wrong magic. Enlisting Xander because she knows he'll never tell Spike. Playing both of them, the one for protection the other for her own purposes. Takes nefarious to whole other levels.

Oh God that is so sad.
And gratifying. Wish it had been this way in the show, the scoobies realising what Spike had given up for Buffy and Dawn

I just wanted to let you know that I love this story! I have printed it out to read in greater detail since it is so long and I can't stay at the computer that long. Life calls alot. I am going to start on the Revelations after I re-read the first again. You are now among my few fave authors. I don't have many. I love emotional depth and seeing Spike characterized so loyally like he was yet loving that Buffy is his in the way she wasn't on the show. I LOVE FANfiction!!!!! PLease email me any updates to Revelations to linnea2sweet@yahoo.com

Keep up the fabulous writing!!!

‘maybe we should get S. . spike.” Fix that one.

Spike looked over at him, one eyebrow raised. “Must make you warm all over to have to come to me.”
Spacing is off.

But one of those vamps had given him a bit of a tumble Could fix this one too.

So, he thought, Buffy had told him about their last conversation. Didn't you say you were italicizing thoughts?

Nice emotion there are the end.

And are you really sure you want me doing this?

Author's Response: Yeah, yeah, and if I remember correctly, I'm the one that had to help you with English when we were both fighting the nuns. . . . anyway, I asked you to do this didn't I? So no worries there.

you know I'm so checking for typos, and any I make in thiese reviews don't count. So, no typos here. Can't say I completely love the grammar in some of the sentences, but hey, you're the writer, I'm just your critic. lol.. The nuns would so have a field day with this. Anyway. So far, you've managed not to screw things up, but you've only written a couple hundred words here.

Maybe it wasn’t so bad having Spike to come home to.

Isn't that the truth? Nice chapter, liked the Dawn thoughts, not so happy about Willow. What is up with that girl?

oh boy. . I wonder if that's really what Willow was thinking when she tried to convince the tothers that Buffy was trapped in a hell dimenson. I like the details you'e added here, about how they managed to fool the authorities about Buffy.

I'm really enjoying Anya's part in all this. I love it when she shows her age and experience, instead of being just a tactless nympho. She's one of my favorite characters and it's sad that not enough writers play her up well. Thanks for the portrayal.

Awesome! Immense! Magnificent! This is the very best story I have read. Iam really looking forward to the sequel. Thank you for the superb portrayal of the characters and relationships. Wish Joss had done this instead.

I don't know if you ever come back to these; but I needed to say this is one of the most beautiful, moving scenes I've read in a fic. Thank you so much.

Author's Response: It was one of my favorite scenes to write. This chpater was particularly emotional for me, and it was one of the things I wanted to do differently from the show. Buffy's confession of where she'd been shouldn't have come as a surprise to anyone. . . . most especially Spike. I always come back to these reviews, because each one is important, and I'm always happy to see someone appreciate my efforts.
