The entire time I was reading this chapter, I had a cruel, satisfied, smirk on my face. You couldn't have made me more happy. Honestly, when I read your warning at the beginning of the last chapter, I was afraid Buffy would end up sleeping with Angel. I couldn't have been more wrong, and be more happy to be wrong :D I loved every single word she said to him. And now, I do understand why she freaked out. But the claim was such a big deal that I'm really sad it's broken. I hope she can fix things with Spike and that he can convince her that he really does love her. I just don't get why she'd be mad at him for having loved someone else before her. I mean... the guy's been living for more than a hundred year, what was she expecting? I can't wait to read more.

You've lost me here. I can neither comprehend Buffy or Spike's attitudes. Buffy is the last person to call Spike upon being with another woman and Spike almost dismissing Buffy's indiscretion is incomprehensible.

Author's Response: Okay, lets start at the begining. Buffy told Spike clearly that she wasn't exactly a virgin when she came into his life but she never LOVED anyone before and she thought it had been the same for him. She wouldn't have cared if he had a hundred woman in his life but she loves him and she sees that in his past their is only one woman, Dru. So now she is wondering if Dru is the one he really wants and she is just his replacement, the same way Spike was Dru's replacement for Angel. SPOILER ALERT: Later on you will learn that It was her In the next chapter you would learn that it was her anger at Dru and Angel that snapped the link to Spike not her anger with him. She loves Spike and she saw the way the two of them treated him and since I don't want to ruin the rest of the story by telling you everything, the rest of the reasons for her breaking the claim will be revealed as the story unfolds. Secondly, Spike is very understanding where his women are involved. He clings to love desperately when everyone else would let go because it hurts so badly. Dru more or less tossed him away the secon Angelus showed back up after Angel had lost his soul with Buffy but he still took her back. EVEN his conversation with Dru as he confronted her about the antlered demon alluded to the fact that he wasn't her first tryst since they had left Sunnydale. "How can I when you keep carrying on with creatures like this?" "I must seek my pleasure elsewhere..." and so on and so forth. But even then it wasn't him who left her, SHE dumped him. Spike is well an truly a fool for love which is why he was willing to rationalize whatever happened between Angel and Buffy. He knew that Angel would try to take her from him and by not telling her himself he had more or less left the path wide open for Angel...a master at mental torture. BUT the fact that she had come back to him, even after being in Angel's arms (or so he thought) was enough for him to believe in their relationship. I hope this clears a few things up, I want everyone to enjoy the story and if your confused beyond all belief then I am doing something wrong :)

Still kinda vlur with the two chapters.... so, cant wait to see what's gonna happen next....

I'm not sure I quite get it, but I'm always up for a break between Bufy and Angel. Please let Spike be willing to reclaim her.

I just loved the bonding session between Faith and Buffy. That was great stuff. Oh, and Faith's reaction to Buffy being turned?.. That was the most "in character" thing I've read in a long time. Well, when I say in character, I mean if it was Buffy on the show, but you get my point.
