I don't know if you still read your reviews but even if you don't I wanted to leave my praise for this particular fic of yours, Addie. It is pretty much perfect. It's got pretty much spot on characterization and thank you for writing everyone in character at that particular point in the story (after NFA), meaning everyone's a little older and wiser with a notable exception (Angel), which I think is totally right for where he is at that moment emotionally and mentally. Thank you for the great plot and not throwing Buffy and Spike in bed together asap because as much as that can work if fine carefully, them talking and understanding each other is a better way to do by their relationship, imho. I love what you did with the Shanshu and how you explained it, the fact that you tried to explain it was something I really, really appreciated btw, and prophecies and the PTB. I'm gonna vote this as my favorite post NFA and Chosen reunion fic for all these reasons but these two lines in particular: "You said once that you'd always be my girl." "Yes, I did. But, I'm a woman now." Yes! You have just summed up the essence of Bangel: why it happened and why it ultimately didn't and could never work, and you had my girl Buffy be the one to spell it out to Angel. She got to walk away from him and leave their once mutual fantasy behind for good. For that alone I thank you: thank you for letting Buffy grow up and be happy :). Thanks for letting Spike grow up and be happy too! I would recommend this fic to anyone who is awesome and who also enjoys awesome things :).

I really liked this story. I haven't gone to the website specified to check out the sequels yet, but I'm hoping they're just as good.

I have to admit I almost didn't read it, though. The summary was a bit confusing after the first chapter since both vampires in the story already HAD souls and the summary said the PTB rewarded one with a soul... I assumed from the summary that the story was going to be Pre-Chosen rather than the opposite; however... the plot and the characters drew me in, and I read it regardless.

Your writing style is superb and I *like* that this story was very plot-driven, and not just some fluffy Spuffy porntastic fic. (I happened to glance at many of the author's notes on the "not enough Spuffy" reviews" lol) Actually - I think it was more Spuffy-esque than most stories. I don't much like stories where they just automatically get together and everything's all fluffy and happy suddenly... it's not true to form, in my opinion. The Spuffy from canon was rough, wild, untamed, confusing, and quite morbid even at the best of times. But it was real. And that's what made my BTVS obsession start enough to get so into fanfiction.

You portrayed the characters true to form and didn't muck up what turned out to be a good, plot-driven story with a bunch of sappy Spuffy moments, and I respect your skills greatly for that. :-)

Definitely - good job, good story, and soon hopefully I can say good series ;-) Well done.

PS: Everyone gets a wonky review or ten ;-) It's a sign of true talent and passion for your art that you didn't give up or just say "screw it" simply because people didn't know where you were going with this story. Writing isn't about pleasing everyone else - and Joss Whedon's work and characters are so good and richly coloured BECAUSE of that. Writing is an art - not everyone may appreciate your art, but it's yours nonetheless and you should be proud of it. Stories don't have to be perfect or "happily ever after" to be good - what I found was the best aspect of the series itself was that it didn't cater to what people wanted to see - despite the fictional aspect of the show itself and it's setting - it was about life and it was real. Life isn't always pretty or easy - and you portray that well. :-)

I've said it once, I'll say it again: you are a fantastic Spuffy writer. I'm a huge fan of yours; have been ever since I discovered 'Pirates Life for Me.' I don't review much, but rest assured that I have read and loved your writing for a long time. And somehow, I never read Daylight, until now. Just as I suspected, I loved it as well as your other fics (with the exception of 'Pirates,' that is my all time favorite fan fic). I'm SO looking forward to reading the sequel tomorrow! I would also like to commend you for standing up to those impatient, uncouth reviewers who tell you to 'speed up the Spuffy.' If they want no plot then let them read some PWP one shot. You're a very talented writer, and you do an excellent job of taking your time to tell a story and develop the characters and relationships. And of course this particular fic had some great parts: I loved how Spike was living but still a strong, kick-ass fighter; the Cordeilia scenes were great, and I admit I loved the sappy ending immensely :) Thank you so much for continuing to write. I haven't read your newest fic yet about Buffy being a vamp for the sole reason that I like to wait until there're a lot of chaprters to read before diving into a story that I know will truly capture my attentions. A sequel? Oh YES, please!!

So. End of the story. If I had to describe it with just one word, this would probably be "fair". Fair because Buffy and Spike (and Dawn --how wonderful seeing her again as well) are HAPPY finally. It´s a wonderful story and I was really addicted to it, can´t wait to read more. I guess, some readers claimed that the end, with marriage and baby, was too much, but hey -- why not?? It puts a smile upon your face, and it makes you happy.

Maybe some point I didn´t like that much: Connor. I would have liked to see him once again, make sure that he´s ok somehow. But if there´s going to be a sequel, I just hope we will see more of him.
One more thing: Maybe I didn´t understand it properly: Did Angel and Cordelia have sex? In chapter...I don´t know....she says that the PTB want to take the curse back. So, do they plan to do or have they already? -- Never mind, I will reread it :)

So, let me say, that it was a pleasure reading this, I´m quite tired now but it was worth it. Thank you for this story! :)

This is one of my favorite after "Not Fade Away" fics. I love Buffy and Spike banter, and I don't think you took to long for them to get "together" at all.
