Summary: When a murderer comes to Sunnydale and begins killing prostitutes, Buffy Summers and several of her close friends band together with the local police force to stop the crimes. Spike Brooks is assigned to Buffy and works closely with her on the case, meanwhile developing feelings for her. After more women turn up dead, the killer begins to go after Buffy, along with making his presence known to Spike. Everything comes tumbling down when Spike admits a secret to Buffy and a devastating memory from his past comes back to haunt him. Tragedies may bring people together, but secrets can tear them apart.
