WOW! What a pantomime, could you imagine really living your life in that kind of gold-fish bowl (Shudder), poor William and Buffy having to play-act (but not play-act), for the press (double shudder), and stinky Xander putting them in that position in the first place. I hate those glossy gossip mags, always putting peoples lives on show, and half the time getting it all wrong. I remember only too well the gutter press and glossy mags hounding Princess Di, making her life out to be a free-for-all for anyone to read and give an opinion on. The whole thing was very distasteful, and reading what your characters had to go through just to soothe the savage press beast, brought the whole thing to mind. Made for good reading though. Oh and I loved the little sexy bit at the end of the chapter, which seemed to be Buffy and William REALLY celebrating. YAY!

OH! That chapter was building up to something more, but you cut me off before I could get satisfation...loved the sexy sex in the bathroom...and no panties under her dress at the party should have made it a bit more lively for William...LOL, but what the hell was that bit about Spike thinking the murder should have been made to look like an accident??? Are you hinting that he actually did the deed himself? Or are you being a naughty author and just deliberately planting the seeds of doubt in our minds? It certainly would be a first if William / Spike actually killed Dru himself...I'm not sure how other readers would feel about that, but I happen to like it when I read something different...though my money's still on Xander as number one murder suspect...for now anyway...great chapter, wished it had been longer...so, more soon...please!

Oh Boy! that was a great chapter...with a mean cliffhanger...can't wait for more....
Summary: Buffy Summers is the adored daughter of Hank and Joyce Summers, farmers in Nebraska, circa 1876.
Buffy is engaged to Caleb Montgomery, a local rich farmer.
Spike is in a gang of outlaws headed by his older cousin, Angel Crawford.
(I love bad ass Spike and Angel, oh yeah, and Rupert, Spike's dad; Xander, Riley, Graham, heck everybody gets into the act!)
Anyway, when Spike spies Buffy at a 'social' in Redemption, he decides to 'court' her. Which is going to be tough since he and the gang our about ready to empty the local bank's vault of all it's money and escape the local law.
Warnings: Spike and Angel are the bad guys here (yum!). Buffy is temporarily out to pasture with Caleb but their relationship will not be graphic at all, promise.
This starts mild, but goes NC-17 in the Spuffy parts!

Yeah, like I told Franchesca, I'm not a big fan of virgin Buffy in my stories. I like the passion that Spuffy burned the screen up with, but the problem is that she would be a virgin in this story. Most likely that is. I'm not so sure that all the brides back then could officially wear white (if you know what I mean.) However, I have to assume that if single girls lost their virginity, it was probably to their future spouses?
Anyway, now that the initial deed is done, the passion can begin!

Oh I really like this one, it's the first time I've ever read a story with the harder, scarred Buffy from The Wish and doesn't she make such a nice contrast to Bad Ass Spike, they're almost like a matching pair...I read all nine chapters back to back and was really sorry to come to the end of chapter nine...now I'm left hanging for more...and I do want more. I love Buffy's inner diologue, and the heavy blanket of orthority the watchers council is affecting her with...it's all nicely put together and obvious these two opposites do attract...up-date soon...please
