Author's Response: Well, Buffy is hurrying to save Spike, so they probably won't be able to chip him. As for Angel and Darla, Spike would be rather upset if his family got killed. It would probably spoil the mood of the rescue.

Author's Response: LOL on the 40 chapters of redemption. I don't think it will take that long. I don't think I could continue to write this story for that long. He better be forgiven long before that but yes, he does deserve to suffer. Payback is a bitch. You know...Empathy can actually be a very useful tool. because if Spike can tell what people fear, or if they are truly loyal to him, or what affects their emotions...he can totally use that to his advantage. So the curse, once one learns to control it, could end up being extremely beneficial.

Great update. I really like Spike's flaws; they make for a very interesting read and he just comes alive. Glad to know that, eventually, he'll be working through them with Buffy. And Enid is a great character! Thanks for the update!
Author's Response: Well I'm glad you like Enid. Someone does! Yes I know she is hard to like, but she is an interesting character and she makes the story richer. As for Spike, his flaws are many, but the curse is making him aware of them now. Before he was a god in his own eyes, now he must see himself for who he really is and see himself through Buffy's eyes as well. Thanks so much for your motivating review. I love getting feedback. I really like the psychology behind this; you didn't go the easy route with "Suddenly, Spike understood EVERYTHING..." Nope, you got that even though he's begining to get it, he's still got to puzzle through the root of the emotions and get that for Buffy to love him, he has to sacrifice too. For a creature with a century or more of selfishness under his belt, not an easy journey.

Author's Response: Absolutely not. He doesn't understand her and her human emotions, and her doesn't understand himself either. It's simply been too long. There are many trials to go through yet for our Spike because just because he feels what others feel, the real test is how he reacts and what kind of man he becomes. Emphathy does you no good if you are evil and cold at heart and don't care. He is selfish and he has much soul searching (well not soul) to do. Thanks for letting me know how much you enjoyed this chapter.

I like Willow's backbone in this. I like that it shows Spike's changing attitude towards the world. I can't wait to find out what happenes when Lucien arrives...
Author's Response: Yes, Willow has to be strong. If she weren't she would add nothing to the story. It will also make it more interesting that Spike is forced to deal with two strong women. His love for Buffy keeps him gentle to her, but he has no such feeling for Willow. That restraint must come from within and it makes the struggle even harder. Thanks for the review.

It's about time Buffy started to think about how to use her powers. I hope they can Find her before anything really bad goes down. But good riddance to both.
As for real life, I hope everything evens out. I've experienced issues with the internet before, it sucks, and people are really just horrid.
