*nods* If Spike changes his sleeping patterns he'll be out of reach for his people. But with Lucian he has indeed someone who can handle things. Even if I fear Buffy won't cherish his thoughtful decision.
Ah Spike's mark will protect Willow. I wonder if Spike will change his mind and give Willow to Lucian if a) Lucian is willing to take her as his mate (what would be like a marriage) and b) Willow wants it too.
Guh.. hot. Spike's solution was sure the best, better than to call for another woman. Buffy could have found out maybe. ~ And there I wondered if Buffy would sense him; but she did, even if she thinks it's just a dream *gg* And she denies it a lot, having had that dream when Spike asked ;-)

Author's Response: Yes, him changing his way of life shows us the dedication he has for winning Buffy's heart and being with her. Problem is, right now she sees his presence as an annoyance, and it is a good thing he can count on Lucian to run things. He dos trust Lucian and we shall see what unfolds with the vamp and Willow. It could change Buffy's perception of things. Yep, there was a connection, though Spike doesn't really know it yet. That may change. Question is, will he take advantage then? TNX! I go through the 'recent stories' and will see the update :) But therefore I'm sometimes later.
*grins* So Spike still had to tease her, huh? He couldn't stop himself even if was dangerous.
Enid. I hope she isn't able to ever get her hands on Buffy (meeting her alone without Spike being a threat) because she hates her very much.
Ah, Enid threaded to spill Spike's secret and that had him act. I didn't think he would kill Enid just now. Wow, he almost didn't come back, stayed feral if it hadn't been for his child.
Now Willow has to take care of Buffy's pregnancy. Spike saw to that. And Buffy knows of the secret. I guess she won't forget that (that Spike has a secret he rather killed Enid for instead of having her spill it out).

Author's Response: Yes he has to tease her, just a bit, because it makes him feel so very good that she is having these feelings and because well, he is a man and can't pass up the opportunity. The showdown was intense but Buffy found a way to bring back her William. She now sees that the man in him truly cares though she may not admit it. The secret will be an issue he will have to deal with. Thanks for the review.

Thank god for Willow's intuition :) Not only made her intuition Willow suspicious of Hannah it makes her more open towards Spike, seeing him, the changes he already made for Buffy.

One thing is wrong but Buffy can't know that when she talked to Willow: That demons have no feelings. And now Willow discovered a secret and wants to find out what it is. Ah and I wondered how far Willow would go (get Buffy out of the castle). Willow's plan sounds simple but will Spike be convinced? For Buffy's sake I guess so. Because some way she need her medallion back... prophecy and all.
And I'm still here :)

Author's Response: Hun I know you are. You have faithfully reviewed every chapter from the start. Thanks for that. Yes, Buffy needs to go to the village, and for more reasons than the medallion too. She hasn't been out in oh so long. It will establish trust between Spike and Buffy and give her a sense of freedom. A step forward, but will he allow it? Thanks again sweetie.

Buffy may be lucky because Spike is not aware why she is feeling this way (that it is because of the secret plans she has). What a roller coaster of feelings. For a short time Buffy didn't feel afraid, was happy. ~ Looking forward how Buffy's (and Willow's) plan will function. ~ It's late here so I hope I still make sense with this one. Take care :)

Author's Response: In the end buffy was truthful in her desires and feeling towards him, and you are right for awhile she didn;t feel afraid. She felt loved and guess what? It felt good. They will be off to the village soon so your curiosity will be satisfied. Thanks for the review hun.

Good for Willow that Spike forbid his vampires to hunt at the village...
And Spike seems to be a nervous wrack now Buffy is on her first visit without his protection.
But Buffy showed her thankfulness to Spike for letting her go, an unexpected gift for him.
Only one month till Buffy's birthday? I hope they'll find the medallion in the village; it should still be there. Oh Buffy found the girl. One step in the right direction. But Samuels behavior towards Buffy (as the other citizens) wasn't nice. Sure they fear them (the vampires, Buffy because of that too) yet they know nothing of her, just fear. But at last they found the girl.. I hope this will lead to the medallion soon.

Author's Response: Well she didn't have anything to do with it directly. It was simply if Willow found out, buffy would raise hell. Yes, Buffy is softening, a bit and Spike is very apprehensive. He is used to having her under his thumb and protection. Samuel is an ass. Unforunately not seen as unusual for that time period though. The reason Buffy is so hated on top of the whole I married the demon lord thing is that she is Gypsy as well. That makes it double. Willow had trouble too and would have been barred entry if it hadn't been for Lucian that first time. She has gained respect and trust. Buffy hasn't had the chance and she is married to Spike. Thanks for the review.

Uh-huh but Buffy was caught with the dilko. Good decision to tell that something unpleasant had happened. Otherwise Spike would have been in the position to have to punish Buffy for lying - or not? If nobody knows about it except Buffy and him, maybe not. ~ Oh my, but he forbid her anyway to go back to the town. Hopefully after talked to the servant and Willow he'll let her go to town again. ~ Loved the re-claiming but I hope both (especially Buffy) won't have second thoughts / regret it (too much).

Author's Response: Yes he was, and that right there shows he cares, cares deeply. She is much more than a mere possession. You do not worry over a posession like that, no, you simply lock it away without thought to keep it safe instead. The dilko makes Spike upset now for reasons other than it being from her Gypsy heritage. To him it shows that she hasn't fully accepted her new life here yet. More on that when I answer a review above. As for punishment for lying. He is way beyond the stage where he could punish her. That is not going to happen, she has been granted so very many liberties a woman back then was unable to induldge in. The reason she can't go back is his fear for her. Glad you enjoyed the love scene. it was time in my book. We shall see what comes in the ight of day. Thanks for the review hun.

BTW: Thanks for the explanations of 'why' or 'how' in your remarks, always interesting to read :)
First I thought it was good that Spike stayed with Buffy (and is not questioning Willow) but now I wonder what is happening.
Hannah lost her heel? It that stays where Drusilla and Angelus are staying it should show that she was there...
Spike's mouth did bring him into difficulties again, for now he's safe but Buffy won't give up till she found the truth. (Hopefully Buffy won't get jealous if Willow gets to know Spike's secret.
Uh-huh... Sadly Drusilla's plan sounds good. I just hope she'll have a lot of problems with it, Hannah failing.. We'll see, huh? Till then!

Author's Response: Ah, a woman who is thinking ahead. We shall see where Hannah's plan leads. There is much entanglement happening in our web here and many spiders. Author's Response: Oh yes, he cought that one the night he took her and she dared to speak out against him. Spike is in a bind. He needs the spell right now though he doesn't really know that, and he wants so badly to please his wife. He is troubled and teh Gypsy witch can help if he allows it but only if she will keep his secret. Buffy honestly will have every right to question him if and when the truth comes out. As for Hannah, she is a fool who is being used. You may use the term evil cliff hanger. I like that. I know the chappie wasn't all full of excitement, but it was needed and it ended on a note that leaves you wondering. Thanks hun.

I liked the chapter even if there wasn't much of 'spuffy' in here. I liked Lucian's struggle when it comes to Willow. And YAY for him finding out about Hannah. And he isn't fooled from her lies (like about Dru's sent). I hope Spike will believe Lucian.

Author's Response: Nope, people have been begging for more Willow lucian so I need to focus on them a bit. I have a lot of characters to juggle in this fic. Glad you enjoyed it anyway. Yes yay for him finding out. Lucian is very intelegent and dedicated. He was a good one to catch her in her deciet. Thanks for the review.

Yeah, Willow has had to find out why Lucian is able to get 'under her skin' :)
Not good that Willow has to make a new potion now *sigh* thanks to Drusilla this will go bad. Oh my.. now Willow doesn't have time to think about Lucian; her potion exploded... Vamps and fire don't mix so good... but Lucian heard her, that's a good sign. (And Willow will be more careful about that herb). *phew* Lucian was able to help more than I expected. I'm sure Drusilla didn't think of that. I dare to say her plan failed :))
But now Willow has run out of herbs... though I hope I'm wrong. Spike won't be pleased when he hears the news (Hannah). Looking forward to more.

Author's Response: You are welome. Our favorite lady should be up and around soon. Yes, the fire was a very bad thing, but it could have been much worse, and it did bring Willow and Lucian closer. They each saw something in each other that they hadn't seen before, and of course the pasion was there as well. As for more herbs, that isn't a problem. It was the ones on the table that were mixed and burned, not her stores on the shelves. A good midwife keeps a good supply. Thanks sweetie.

Uh-huh... it sounds as if Hannah's evil plan is working; Willow and Buffy seem to believe her. Well more Buffy; Willow had some doubts before.
Too bad; Hannah was too clever, her plan worked. Buffy is trusting her story. There are no evidence for Buffy to see. I hope they'll find something. Buffy promised to deliver Hannah then. Hopefully that will make Buffy believe Spike more then. It happened a lot in this chapter; if Buffy and Spike will be able to get over it again, things will get better (I hope).

Author's Response: Yes, more Buffy that Willow. Willow has doubts and needs time to get over her shock from the burns. You are right that Buffy finds it hard to believe the evidence because Hannah is a good liar and Buffy can't 'smell' the proof, that aspect points out Spike's beast yet again anyway even if it was Lucian who scented Drusilla on the girl. Spike is the same type of creature as his first in command. Thanks for reading and reviewing. It was a full chapter and hopefully it will tide everyone over.

Oh... Spike told Lucian about the 'curse'. Spike doesn't have to fear about telling Lucian; he is faithful. He'll keep Spike's secret.
I wonder how long it will take Buffy to see that Spike is right; I guess only then when something happens and Hannah gets caught. Mmmh or Willow can prove something.
Anyway, looking forward to more!

Author's Response: Yes, Lucian is faithful and Spike now has a confidant besides Wiollow. His 'man' is feeling the need for a friend. Hannah will get caught, you can bet that Spike is VERY determined to prove the little bitch guilty. Thanks for the review.

Mmm against having to take blood to live Spike had no argument yet. Spike couldn't convince Buffy of his feelings (but at last he won't give up). And finding out about Hannah lies will maybe turn Buffy's heart more to him.
Angelus? Bad enough he and Drusilla got away but his evil plans.. I hope something will prevent him to be successful.
*grins* Even if kissing Willow didn't show the result Lucian wanted it was a pleasant way to pass time :) For both of them indeed.

Author's Response: No he doesn't but Buffy is blowing it out of proprtion and won;t listen though she does have a point and I guess a woman would woner when he might be satisfying his demonic needs. He hasn;t been cruel or violent to her so... who has suffered in return? The proof hwe has wil help their relationship along, don;t worry. Buffy can;t be abitch forever. Yeah, if Spike had tended to his mating mark again she would have been very furious after that. Oh interesting, when Spike took his hand away she was distressed? Should be a good sign.
So she believed him yet she wanted to protect Hannah. But her child is more important for her. ~ I thought so too: Telling Spike that he has controll over the demon was a sign of trust, a compliment.
Hannah did betray herself. She insulted Buffy and lifted her cover. Her bad...
Willow is powerful indeed, she was able to lift the spell without trouble. As a lie detector it was handy.
~ At the end it almost seemed as if Buffy did hear Spike saying that she loved her.

Author's Response: she believe him and her trust has been returned. Now the love can grow because you know she really does care for him quite a bit. She just has to allow herself to let go. Spike knew he had to get rid of the spell. Yes it was handy but he can rule without it and to keep it would destroy Buffy's trust all over again. As it stands he knows he is on shaky ground until the truth is revealed. Buffy did hear Spike, through thweir bond. He reached out to her and she reached back. That was my intent anyway. Buffy really seems to have done a leap of faith and is trusting Spike now.
Regarding Willow the major part is jealousy from Buffy.
Uh-huh ~ Willow told her about her powers; I wonder if getting them (when all goes right) won't get to Buffy giving birth. Willow saw how far Buffy is already. But needing the medaillon she doesn't have yet? Not so good, they need it very soon.
Willow's luck has changed? Maybe for now but the problem is near: Drusilla. She and Angelus know that she is away.

Author's Response: You are welcome. She was stressing over leaving her readers high and dry. Yes Buffy is trusting Spike now. Her eyes have been opened and yes, she is jealous. Not that she thinks Spike will want Willow, but because they have a closeness she doesn't have with him. She wishes he would talk things out with her. But that is her own fault isn't it? Things are speeding along and yes, Willow is in danger. Keep your fingers crossed that Lucian gets to the village on time. Thanks hun.

Oh bad timing... Lucian is late and Willow thought he would be on time and is now unprotected. If you think of Murphy's law something will happen.
Yeah... therefore Buffy was so restless! The birth was near and now Willow isn't in the castle. Even more so, she is in danger now. And worse. Oh no, of all she had to run into Angelus. The blood loss won't be too dangerous, she is still alive. But Buffy needs her now and she was tired before. I hope it's Lucian that arrived. He will be so pissed off! Too bad we have to wait another week now ~ :) Good chapter.

Author's Response: Yes the hands of fate did not turn in their favor this night. So many things went wrong. Don't be too sure about the bloodloss. They didn't have the medical know how we do now days and Lucian hasn't stopped Angelus just yet. You are right though that Lucian is gooing to be one pissed off vampire. Boy was Lucian pissed off! Angelus had it coming; bad luck for him he underestimated Lucian. Willow is Buffy's best friend and her midwife; Spike so need her. He would be okay with what Lucian does if it saves Willow for now.
Oh and Lucian has the hots for Willow :) He even got a guilty conscience because he overslept.

Author's Response: Of course he did ;) Couldn't let Angelus rape and kill Willow, though the suspense was needed. Yes Lucian was pissed off. Royaly, and he had every reason. The attack made him see how he truly feels about Willow. The sight of her nearly dead and molested changed him. Yes, he even got a guilty conscience and hat says a lot. Ohhhh! Wucian romance from IbE in order to give us the weekly updates? Neat :-D
Have fun (in case I don't manage to wish it in time).
Then Buffy has 'normal' contractions (is in normal labor) I guess. But it is her first child, that's not easy.
Buffy can't deny that Spike has feelings; he clearly cares for what happened to Willow (because she is Buffy's friend).
Oh what a coincidence (was it?): Because Elena fell into the hands of the wrong vamp Willow almost died getting raped too if Lucian hadn't been in time. The vamp who did it is in trouble now. Yeah, coincidence indeed.
Spike was cute when he wanted to stay for the birth and Buffy didn't allow it.
The medallion will give Buffy control over the elements? Not sure how much Buffy can use it in the castle. But it never hurts to have some extra gifts and this sounds neat. And Willow thought of something to do with it already. But will Buffy leave Spike? I don't think so especially with her child born.

Author's Response: Yes, she is being so kind as to stand in for me and with a wonderful bit of Wucian as well. Lucian was actually pretty mild with the servant. It really was a set of unfortunate curcumstances. As for buffy, she is doing well but it won;t be an easy birth. Her powers will have to be honed because she has no faith in herself at the moment abotu their usage, but she WILL need them in the future. Thanks hun for the review and the good wishes.

Ouch, eight hours? Yeah I know, it's Buffy's first child, that takes time. But ouch... what women do...
Lucian was lucky :) Spike did hear the voice of reason.
I thought about it if it would; but Buffy's birthday has come and no news about the abilities she'll have now.
Ohhhh! Twins! Unexpected, very unexpected. Spike will be smitten. *phew* That almost went wrong for the baby; but Buffy was almost in trouble too for the blood loss. And he even thought of a nurse in case Buffy doesn't have enough milk for both babies.
Uh-huh.. danger to come. ~ Loved the update :)

Author's Response: Well actually longer than eight. Spike paced for eight before the events here happened. First births are long. Yes, Spike was pretty understanding, then again, he has a lot on his mind. Her birthday did give her the powers and now she can control the elements, but as of yet, she hasn't had use for them. Well the birth was hard for Buffy, that must leave some signs for now (= exhausted).
Oh Spike was talking about a registry book. Yeah, he didn't have a need (use) for that before.
I fear for the children because of Dru but not only Spike will fight fangs and claws, Buffy will fight too.
Enjoyed the Willow / Lucian part. These too are both headstrong :) The development (fight) who's will will be done will be interesting, I'm sure.
Drusilla didn't notice that Angelus is gone.. she'll be furious = more dangerous. Too much to hope she'll get careless.

Awe, Buffy is already (more) bonding with her children. But unexpected twist, even if it makes sense that one child is human, one not. Heartbreaking for Buffy to start to fear her son. Good points from both IbE and CP; Buffy will come around, hopefully soon. It's not easy for her too. ~ Loved it but I fear what will happen if (when) Katia will get stolen.

Author's Response: Yes, Buffy is bonding, even now with the turn of events. She loves William, she was just scared. New mother tension and all. I agree with you on the points from CP and IBE. So things are falling into a routine. More bonding time for Buffy and the human side of her baby boy. Hopefully she'll come around for his other side too. She has her eyes open, she noticed how Willow and Lucian act around one another. ~ Glad to see William so happy. Heh heh even he had a hard time being jealous when the painting was made.
Oh no... Katia was caught. Buffy won't be able to get her back alone I fear but we'll see. Hopefully till soon!

A storm? I just hope that Buffy with being new to her powers endangers her daughter even more (causing the storm). But maybe it is part of the solution? *reads on*
Uh-huh not good if Buffy started to bleed again (though it will it make easier for Spike to follow her). Buffy noticed it too, attacking now is too dangerous. But her bleeding so much is becoming dangerous too.
Oh my... William hasn't told Buffy of the spell and now she thinks the worst. *reads on* That went well for now though some doubts remain (Buffy). Unexpected twist that Buffy was the one that judged Drusilla and is now hiding (at the moment at last), even or especially hiding because of William. Stupid doubts, huh? Thanks to Drusilla. ~
And the thing about the colors is very interesting. I only know of pink for girls and blue for boys.

Yes, there were some bad things that happened in this chapter but some good as well, and Buffy didn't go running off all "I hate him." She just wants to talk to her Godmother and have some time. It was a huge revelation and even though it came from Dru, it caused doubts because her one largest fear was giving her heart to him and him shattering it. Thanks again hun and thanks for your support before. I truly appreciate it.
