Summary: This is set in the period of time, when bored knights were pursuing the witches and heretics for fun (while off the battlefields), when the would-be serial killers were on the loose in plain view to all (hiding behind their status in society), and when innocent victims were burned on stakes for other people’s sins (inquisition). Yes! You guessed it! The 15th century, all-human fanfic. This is the set I placed our Spuffy couple in, for my first ever fanfic. I played with timeline, characters, and meshed some things together in my way.

Spike is hardened knight, known for his reputation as William the Bloody, only in this case, there is no ‘bloody awful poetry’ present but his masterful skills of finding and bringing heretics and witches to ‘justice’… no matter what.
Buffy is no one important, a poor girl living on the brink of the town. One horrible night changed her life from worse to hell and brought her on the dangerous path of a lustful knight that was sent to condemn her to the fire… and they both end with burning in their heart instead.
WARNINGS: Evil Spike, gore situarions, angst, **rape IMPLIED**... if you're not prepared for this, don't read - I don't wanna burn in flames. *wink*

A cross-over from the Unexpected Universe story 'Miles to Go'. (Spoiler Alert for that story!). For those familiar with that story, this is the promised detail of what Spike does to change things in the Giftless Universe. Begins during the fight at the tower with Glory and goes off-canon almost immediately. This story stands alone. You do not have to have read any of the Unexpected Series to enjoy this story.

A decision is made during the fight with Glory that turns the world upside down and sends Spike plummeting into a living hell. How can he carry on without his Slayer? How can he not? He'd made a promise to a lady. When a Buffy from another dimension, along with her daughter, accidentally drops into his life after ten years of living in a world of loneliness, she reminds him of everything he's lost. When she finds a way to give him a chance to go back in time and make it right, will he succeed? Will his choices, and their consequences, make his life better or simply plunge him into a different kind of hell on Earth? Will he, in the end, be able to save Buffy and the world? The Universe gives nothing for free; if things change, then what will be cost?

Summary: A short, four chapter spuffy Halloween ficlett with some drama, lots of smutty goodness, and a bit of romance, but no real angst (I SWEAR!). What if Halloween in Season 6 came after Spike and Buffy had been shagging for a while? Takes place sometime after ‘Dead Things’ but before ‘As You Were’.  Halloween, and Spike’s offer of a bit of the ‘rough and tumble’, has been rescheduled to a time when Buffy would accept that invitation.


While Dawn went on a covert 'double date' with Janice and the two vampires, Justin and Zack, Buffy and Spike had some rough and tumble plans of their own.  Where might this night lead when things get complicated and Buffy’s secret slips out?


Although not related to the Unexpected 'Verse (or any other story), the first chapter of this story will sound familiar to regular Unexpected ‘Verse readers, but the chapters that follow are all new.
