I fell into this story at about 10 tonight an couldn't stop myself once I started. This story is killer good and not one part of it seems off base or out of nowhere like.
I hope you add more cause the last bit of this is so cliff hanger I can't get it out of my mind now.

That was delightfully wicked! On top of all the events of the last chapter, it's so nice to see Buffy, for whatever reason, working her less violent magic on these people. And the idea that Spike is going to trick Angelus into wanting Amy, that is really diabolical. And though Buffy seems to have thrown in her last card, this whole situation has seemed to, once again, endear her to Spike. May even make our girl a little safer. Absolutely loved the whole thing.

Author's Response: Yes, true. I think if you give it a chance it gets better, but you might not want to read it if you thought chapter 1 was dark, since chapter 4 reaches the rape scene. If you're ok with reading that, then you should be fine with the rest :)

Awww he helped her to the bathroom to try to clean her up. Sure he was evil about it lol but he did try. So much emotion packed into one lil chapter. Once again outstanding writing skills at work here in this fic. I find it interesting that when Spike goes to kiss her in the past few chapters she thinks of it as (him trying to distract her) where as before she didn't look at it that way. I like the ending of this chapter the most cause so much is being played out in the body language and not many writers do that so it is very cool that you do. Things seem to be heating up in the Angel/Spike war and so on the Spike/Buffy front I can't wait to see where you take us next.

At first I was kinda worried about Buffy being in her own room I was like whoa hang on a sec but the thing is she* can fight now not like Harm and I don't see the minion low life guys trying to go after her considering she was Spikes woman. But we shall see. Tune in tomorrow. Buff is no longer easy prey if she's clocking Spike and he can't get a hold on her to calm her down himself I think she's gonna be ok.

I freaked when I saw you updated and actually made a squeaky sound of pure fan-fic joy and danced about the room. So many little touches in this update. I found I didn't really care that Amy was being tortured cause with these figher gang girls it's like a normal thing that seems to go on between them. I think it's cool even his gang was shocked over his choices and throwing Buffy out will take the pressure off him cause Angel thinks he's gone soft for Buffy like with Dru. So wow nobody knows what Spike will do or say next.
Hot little chapter but so many little questions answered. I look forward to more.

Shower scene ok this was just funny/cute. You got a drunken yet ticked off Buffy and a Spike who despite himself has to give into a grin. I think he sees even at her falling down worst she won't take crap from him and he can't help but to be amused by this little fireball of a force that is Buffy.
Very "Oh throw me in a cold shower? I think not buster!" they seem to be just trying to go thru the motions of "I still hate you" when really at some point they both got off that train ride and seemed not to notice it.

Ok I gotta say I loved the verbal play out with Spike and Buffy in the torture session in the training room for that whole scene between them spoke more in what is said to each other and then what is not said to each other. You did that so outstandingly.
I loved the complete switch of Spike in that instant where he played out that he was done with her and moved on. This will so work two ways
1. It will cover for Spike showing any emotion of Buffy with him going after Angel in the ally.
And 2. It will totally work as a cover for his own purposes of getting even with Angel and Rack for trying to take him down.

You can see why Buffy is completely gob-smacked though as she's trying to figure out what and why she's banished. I mean look at what happened to Harmony when she was cast out Buffy had a eye witness account to what can happen to girls no longer in Spike's room. And too its easier to keep your enemies close but I think despite herself she has some underlining feelings for him regardless if she's ready to face them or not with so much anger and pain covering them.
I loved the fact she went after him and confronted him it really shows how much stronger she is that she's demanding more out of him as a person. Even as she is realizing what she is saying or the fact that even Spike can see it she fights herself. The kiss was really the only way Spike can express himself to her but she's too confused to see it. I like how he's always trying to search her face for the emotions he's feeling, like he is just hoping to see one tiny glimmer of what he is starting to feel for her reflected back at him thru her. He wants her to love him Spike may change but he is always the same guy underneath he needs to be loved.

This is the most interesting fic to read for all human emotion has to be so shut down to function in this world that they live in but even despite that if you look at all in members of Spikes gang all the member still in small ways are a little like Spike in their nature in them still trying to have relationships or friendships.

I am dying to see what happens next and putting it as dying is putting it lightly lol!

This was a shorter chapter but most packed with plot changes and revelations. I always hate when I get to the end of your chapters.

Great story telling. A 10 out of 10.
