i know it's been a while since this fic was completed, but i'm so glad i found this! i think a few chapters of this was posted on fanfiction.com (or another spuffy cite), and i remember i was disappointed it was never finished. and i was so, so glad i found it on here - and completed!

i enjoyed every minute of this fic! i liked the relationship between william/sam, even before everyone found out he was her daughter. i liked how buffy and william treated each other - before and after the 'feelings' and the angel cheating, and the after, i liked how you didn't make angel into too much of a bad guy - stupid and arrogant, but not necessarily evil (yes, he cheated on buffy and belittled her, and was very apathetic towards sam). there was enough humanity in him (and yes, it wasn't like he wasn't getting anything out of it) to let angel and sam go without any fuss.

a nice leisurely story - nicely paced, good characters. again, enjoyed it immensely!
