What do you mean, 'not as good as it could be'? It's great! I love the way you still admit there's some things that have to happen regardless, and I love the hybrid demon/human Spike.
Now then... why no updates for 18 months? I know you're still writing, so pretty please have another look at this one and give it another go? (Oh, and Velvet should just go home...)

Sweet chapter. I was thinking that Spike was a mesh of 'WIlliam' and 'the demon' and that Buffy shouldn't be so distraught, b/c he's partly the man she loved :-) I like how you worked it out!! Keep the updates coming, they're like cocaine ;-)

Since Spike/WIlliam is all wishy-washy I think you should have a cat fight between BUffy and Velvet. It seemed pretty clear that Velvet was attached to William. Maybe she could even come up with the solution on how to get Spike back to his old self?

oh... so you have this nice twist to Spike/William. I just hope that they can figure out what is going on. Velvet did handle it pretty well if you ask me. Love the update.
