Truly impressed by the storyline so far, and I'm seriously waiting for another couple chapters! Although I was hesitant with it as first, reading these chapters and seeing Buffy's demon instinctively kick arse, made me want more! Original storyline! Awesome job and don't let us down by not updating = )

Wow - Buffy's demon is strong - it reacted instinctively. But it was not very clever to run back to her room, huh? So the other knew where she was heading. Now I know why Penn did it... it's understandable yet it doesn't make it right. And now Buffy has to go back, huh? Looking forward to the next part.

What an interesting start to a story and a novel slant on an existing theme.

I like the fact that you've taken the time to give us just enough exposition to set the scene and not bog readers down with convoluted history. I think a couple of the descriptives could have been phrased more creatively, but that's a very minor and picky criticism of a really good beginning. I'm loolking forward to further updates. Thank you for this.

A very good chapter I thought. Particularly beautiful imagery used to depict the scene in the great hall and Buffy's first encounter with the order and its head. Asides from the Master and Spike you were sparing with descriptions of the 'main players' (though I'm wondering...was that Dru who welcomed them in to see "my great granddaddy"?) I liked the way you did that...it leaves the reader in suspense wondering which (if any) characters from BTVS/ATS canon you may choose for this piece. Well done also on bringing a more *coughs & looks sheepishly at her feet* 'human' side to Penn with the backstory provided by Spike. I can't wait to see how this pans out in the next chappie. Well done.
