I love this story! You've got me totally hooked - way to build up the tension, emotional and otherwise. The characterization is just great - no small feat to take William to Spike in such a short time. And your Drusilla is dead-on - I could practically hear her speaking the lines. You've got me biting my nails and waiting to see what Drusilla's sinister intentions are... I anxiously await your next update :D

Ok, so maybe William is introducing Spike to Buffy a bit fast (many changes in rapid succession), but if Buffy really knew William as well as she believed she did, I'm surprised she hasn't sensed his need to become less of a shy withdrawn young man during their years of friendship. I'm surprised at her anger and hurt now (although I think this is mostly coming just from her jealousy of Dru). I think they need to sit down and William needs to Spike himself up to telling Buffy exactly how he feels about her and that all these changes were done so felt worthy of seeking her love in a deeper relationship than best friends. LOVE IT AND WANT MORE SOON PLEASE! If they'd just suck face a bit, I'm sure they'd resolve some of the issues at least. Spike's gotta grab her and kiss her into oblivion!

I love Dru in this fic. And this story is a lot of things, but boring doesn't even enter my mind when I think of it. I personally love fics where Dru is pro-S/B.

Finally - Spike looks like Spike! Love it. Now if only Buff would see reason and find the new and improved William (Spike) drool worthy and stop messing around with that man-ho Riley! (Oh and now that Dru has altered William into a Spike personal - can we kill her? - ok, can we move her to another country?) Love the tale, can't wait for more.
