I love your arrogant, malevolent Spike, throwing lewd remarks around like confetti. You did a good job setting the scene, I could see the action atop the theater. Buffy came off surer of herself than she has in past chapters.

He really is a top psychiatrist, isn't he? The best therapist Buffy ever had. This Spike's gonna get his Slayer back on top form. I just hope she comes to realise how much she likes him before she drives him away. And what's the what with this Joshua vamp?

Great story. Could have turned out all kinds of dark angsty, but I like the undercurrent of optimism you have going. Thanks for another cool update, pet.

Sorry I have no time. Loved the update. So Buffy knows now to cherish 'grey areas'. Hopefully Spike will become more greyish than black ;-) Loved this: "I'll kiss you when you earn it, Spike" That was one think Spike didn't see coming :)

Jeremiah was fun - but so was the chapter. And good to see the update. Sorry that your computer doesn't like you. I wonder if we will see more of Jeremiah because Buffy let him live (un-live).

Well, the lines between Buffy and her calling have really blurred now. Jeremiah is an intriguing original character. He certainly played a head trip on Buffy, I hope he sticks around. These wacky vampires keep Buffy reeling.

Well that's an interesting addition to the mix - with or without Spike's knowledge or 'blessing' ! Your story is not taking a predictable route, and it's good to see that neither Buffy or Spike have fallen into a lovely slushy heap because they've done the deed ..... you've kept them true to character, with now Jeremiah to shake things up. Great story.

Author's Response: I don't like to be predictable and I find myself disliking fics where Buffy and Spike get together way too easily. Jeremiah's a shaker, alright. Thanks for reading.

Oh, I love it! I rival for Spike! He deserves it, yes he does, really.

I've always loved Spuffy, from the day I realized Joss was going that route, but I still wanted Spike to have to work harder for Buffy. She deserved it; her life was shit really, it was. Who goes out and saves the world, night and day then gets nothing but heartache and lonliness for it? That's right, Buffy.

I've always felt that it was Buffy, not Spike that got the raw end of the deal and in this story? I want Spike jealous, seethingly jealous and worrying over this Southern gentleman vampire!

Thanks, I needed this vindication!

Author's Response: I agree Buffy had it much tougher than a lot of people in this fandom give her credit for. As for Jeremiah being a rival...only time will tell :)

I'm really enjoying this dark portrait of a damaged, disassociative Buffy. Spike's obvious zeal for being an evil badass is a good counterpoint to her depressed state. The dialogue is sharp and the story is moving briskly. I don't see this ending well for Spike, but his unrepentant evil is great fun to read. The post-coital banter was especially funny.

Your story is slipping... I mean, the story line is beginning to look a bit deja vú... the same stuff happens in almost every chapter. Depressed Buffy, Buffy mad at Spike, Buffy shagging with Spike, Buffy depressed again.. sorry, this isn't a flame, but try to make something else to happen to her, or make Spike do something that we don't already know he's gonna do..

Author's Response: I'll take that into consideration. Although, they've only ever "shagged" once, so I don't see how that can be happening every chapter.
