This story reminds me of the Thomas Crown Affair which was an excellent movie by the way and one of my favorites. However, the difference is this has more angst and mystery. It makes the story more exciting. I'm really enjoying it. Thanks for the update

Great tease at the end. If I would Spike, I'd be a bit suspicious about her trying to grab the file (once would be playful any more than that is suspicious). Can't wait to find our what's in the file mysefl now - you do know how to tease your readers aswell! thanks for the udpate. more please.

You know, in REAL life I too am a detective. One thing that I would never, EVER do is leave any incriminating information in my home, 'cause well, that is what my office is for. But, then again, I've never investigated anyone as fine as Spike before either! Buffy is thinking with her heart and not her head, and that is going to spell TROUBLE for our little slueth. I personally think Giles should pull her off the case and put me on it! LOL As always, I am amazed at your ability to make me feel like I'm right there in the story. Great chapter!
