I'm patient - I'll just read on and see where it leads :) It's more difficult reading this one as a WIP - it's better to read everything in one rush. But I won't stop doing that now - I just read on :) Seems as if Spike had found Connor now.

Great chapter! I really enjoyed it. I want to thank you for suggesting I read "Love Letters" again. I hadn't forgotten Joni was the key . I just wanted to backtrack and read about Talitha's dreams of Spike. Cause for brief moment there I had mistakenly thought Talitha was carrying Spike's child. So thanks again for clarifying she wasn't. Can't wait to read more!

Spike has to come to get 'us'? Wonder who it is besides Jonina: Angel?

And if I read right now then Jonina is really Spike's daughter? When she got his blood? *scratches head* Did give Spike Jonina a syringe? Or did he take blood? Maybe the first.. trying to get her immune to the Lace.

Author's Response: This is where the time travel aspect comes into play. Spike dosed Joni trying to make her immune to "Lace."

Awe - therefore Jonina is where Angel is. And I wondered why she was in hell with Angel (even if Holland brought her there). Angel is caring for Joni in the meantime? Mmmm-hmm. Wonder who grandpa is: Holland? Homer? Ah I see - you wrote it. *Reading on*

Author's Response: Holland said it wasn't Hell. Spike just assumed so. After all that's where Spike expects to be so why wouldn't Angel? Remember "Glass" and "Minor Keys" Buffy wanted to follow Spike... well...

At the begin of the chapter: I'm glad Buffy 'came back'. Spike? Glad he can comfort his daughter as Homer. So he (Spike) killed Angel. Well - that won't bring Spike Joni back. Well - I'm reading on to find out.

I loved Spike's meeting with the Conduit... it was so insightful. As was Holland's conversation with Angel. The Spike and Joni blood sharing twist makes me really curious to learn more about Talitha. So I think i'll go find the Talitha parts of the story. Fantastic chapter! I really enjoyed it.

Things are coming together very nicely. I can't wait to find out if the "he" who is coming for Joni is Spike or Conner. Here's me making with the questions again... Joni aged during her time in the White Room will she return to being a baby when she gets rescued? Wonderful chapter!

Author's Response: That would be Grandpa, yes. Also, I'm not sure if it's Greek or Roman myth, but the there is a river Styx in the underworld. Hence the name for the chapter. Keep reading.

I love the time skipping in this story. This is quite a web you've spun and it's a lot of fun to tease out the different time lines and guess what's going to happen next.

*sigh* Spike took alot upon himself to save them all - and now he's dying. Very hard for Buffy indeed. She knows very well where Spike has to go through.

Author's Response: I figure it''s kinf of the reverse of "Buffy" season six. She knows what he's going through and can't do anything to stop the hurt. She wants to stop him from destroying himself, but he won't let her.

I really liked your take on the Home Office's manipulation of Angel. I just love how Joni's grief and love for her parents buggered up their brilliant and presumably foolproof plan. After reading the conclusion of the chapter it made the Angel bashing even more sweeter to read. Spike really pummeled him good... and bad me really enjoyed it! Fantastic chapter!

What a detailed description of the effects Lace. Poor Spike what a horrible way for him to die. I guess Spike's deal to die in Buffy's place is set in stone. But it's good to see Spike using his knowlege of Wolfram and Hart to his advantage. Can't wait to find out how that works out for him. Good update!

Interesting twist... that Joyce also sent ghostly Spike to visit the widowed and broken Buffy. I knew Buffy was in a bad way but I didn't think it was life threatening. I'm wondering since Buffy already has "Lace" in her blood if she'll get sick before Joni is five? I'm really enjoying all the twists. I like stories that keep me guessing. Good update!

Author's Response: Thanks. Remember, Slayers take a *long * time to manifest symptoms. Buffy may have started as far back as "Tremors". ;-)
