okay, i was really confused with this chapter. i don't know why it seems like two different things are happening. i don't get it.

Author's Response: The italicized words are from Daughter of Prophecy - their first time together. The words that aren't, are a similar situation that happened now, only Buffy had more control in the situation, this time around.

wow. he has been biting her a whole bunch lately. wonder if maybe that has something to do with the what that's going on now. hmmm....who knows? i still think she needs to know what's the what. they're only putting her in danger by not telling her...and i'm worried that it'll be too late before they realize that. will men never learn that we don't always need protecting? at least buffy doesn't. i mean, c'mon, not only did she face the worst vampire (angelus) and leave through it, but she had to kill her dad. HER DAD!! and look how bad it was for her when she found out so close to when it had to happen. ugh, men sometimes. i swear. but i still love this story so yay. YAY!!

Loved the update :) So Spike is still not telling what's the what (what is coming for Buffy) but he wants to train her. And fighting makes both hot ;-) Wonder if this has to do with the biting... Looking forward to the next part.

Excellent segue from the sparring to the injury to the lovemaking, and I enjoyed the intermingling of the flashback throughout the chapter.

wow. she just never has a break in her life does she? and what the hell with the men in her life? they keep trying to coddle her, even after everything she's been through!! that's just crazy. wonder if they're ever going to treat her like an adult or something other than a little girl. she may be angel's daughter, but she's not a little girl anymore either. and spike, can he get over himself already? okay, so she's his mate, but again, she's not a little girl. she's not as fragile as everyone seems to make her out. I mean, c'mon, she killed her dad for pete's sake. how much stronger does she need to prove herself? really, if it's about her that spike and angel were talking about, then she needs to know. better to be prepared ahead of time instead of finding out about it so close to when it's going to take place. okay, sorry, but i had to say all that. now, that being said, i'm loving this story. just as much as the first story. yay.

Too many WIPs. Quality not quantity. Your stories start out strong but finish weak - maybe cause you're already moving on to the next one. And not just this fic - but most of your work in general. Buildup to the angst is great but the ending is like its mailed in.

She's still a living girl, so it is dangerous to be biting all the time, and if she needs it for sexual completion, then something's not right, and Spike shouldn't encourage it. It would be different if they were two vampires.

This chapter didn't clarify anything, but I liked the emotional connection between Spike and Buffy. Whatever Spike and Angel are keeping from Cordelia and Buffy is going to drive the women to distraction.

So Angel doesn't want to say what this is all about. The wounds on Buffy's neck gave thim the right distraction. But Spike doesn't want to tell Buffy either - wonder what this is all about. I really wonder .. there must be a reason why Spike had to confirm his love to Buffy. Maybe I read too much in his declaration but maybe the things to come will get worse. TNX for the update!
