Just read the whole story in one sitting and loved it! There were many times I wanted to reach inside and literally ring Buffy's neck, but, alas that wasn't possible. Totally loved William and wish that my husband was that passionate and intense! Great job!

Hmmm not that I don't mind the angst but sometimes I think that given the background of some characters they are acting very strange. With his history with the married woman I find it hard to believe that William would not break up with her even if he loved her just because he's been here before, she doesn't love him and I don't think that he would want to put himself through that again.

Beyond Brilliant. This is not just an outstanding story, but a MUST READ. I was in a relationship with an older guy when I was in my late teens/ early twenties and the issues you raised in this story were so spot on. I cringed at many parts that were painfully insightful and true. The character development was not only strong and believable for the spuffy realm, but there was so much of the story that resonated with me beyond that. I think this story allowed me to see myself then and my ex in ways I never had. I love your writing and all the other stories of yours that I have read. I knew I would like this story after the first few sentences, but this continually suprised and impressed me. There were so many great scenes I had to read and reread because I couldn't get enough of them. The scenes where they had broken up, but he was still flirting with her - "your still my baby" scene - I read several times, I liked them so much. Wow. Thats all I can say. Wow. Thanks ever so.

but like she said, William makes her feel alive--doesn't that count for something? I think Joyce hit on some majorly important points, such as the part about Buffy being afraid of the finalty of finding her soul mate. she finds falling in love scary, and she deals with her fears by pushing what she doesn't find comfortable away. like Joyce said, if she's not careful, she could push William clear out of her life. Not that I think he'd go without a fight ;-)

well, that didn't go terribly...i'm still substantially worried for their relationship, and for the fact that Buffy's all "I had fun, maybe I'll do it again!" I understand where she's coming from with the need to act her age and live a little, but then I also understand how William feels. which means, all in all, that you're a really good writer to have me all torn up about this :-)

Ooh, I love the way you blended that song into the chapter (excellent song choice, too, I love Alanis!) it worked so well! Thank god they talked about things, and she really doesn't want to leave him. that makes me feel a gazillion times better. plus they won't be dating other people--that's a BIG relief.
