So it is like I thought, after they had sex Buffy avoided him and treated him as usual, why would Spike think that Buffy loves him?

I can understand why he would still be with Dru after the little display Buffy did when she went to visit him, Spike wasn;t acting like a prince either, but after their conversation earlier, I can see why he would want to get Buffy out of his mind, she's done nothing but hurt him since they had sex. She never admitted to having feelings for him. Just because she decides on a whim todo it now doesen't make her justifiable in the way she's acting.

Cause she's acting like he cheated on her when he knew she had feelings for him. Spike asked her straight out and she couldn't deliever. When he asked Dru though she did, why would he not sleep with Dru then.

I guess at this point I'm thinking Buffy hurt herself big. She didn't admit her feelings for him when she could have the first time so he was depressed and someone found him who could love him like he wants. Then the second time she could have admitted her feelings for him she blew it with past accusations and left Spike feeling the "not-so-love" from her twice fold, so he's with is fiance to make him forget.

I don't see Spike as the bad guy. He ain't no prince, but he did nothing wrong. Infact, I think he did almost everything right concerning Buffy, he complied to her wishes to sleep with her asked her straight out what her feelings towards him were. He was not a kept man and was free to do as he wishes...just because Buffy's feelings were hurt that he wasn't pining over her doesen't make him the bad guy.

I think Buffy brought all the pain she feels from the past...upon herself.

So Buffy and Spike admit that they did have feelings for each other so long ago; and then Spike immediately jumps Dru telling her he misses her and that he is hers? Well, there's Buffy's answer - and I'm glad she's deciding to move on. Spike obviously has.

that was so sad!! damn dru!!! i bet she knew what buffy was thinking and she plotted all this... grrr arggg... and spike!!! he just fell for it... they are so stubborn... great though sad chapter :( thanx... hope you update soon... i'm in pain here :P

this is a really wonderful story .....

You've mastered this cliffhanger thing...and you've mixed the flashbacks with the present time story (see this is why I'm a not so great writer, I'm confusing) really well, something that I at least, find hard sometimes.

And thank you for updating as regularly as you have :) Happy holidays if I don't leave another review before then.

well... i guess we all know what was the answer to that question... a silent yes but a muttered no... :S it's so sad... becos i think this happens to a lot of people...afraid that by saying it or the other person realizing what they feel, it's going to be the end of the world, probably it would if it's unrequited, but if it's not... then isn't it worth it? to take the chance, i mean... sorry for the rant, i'm just sensitive it's all... thanx for this wonderful chapter!! terrific, as always!
