Hmmm...so the plot thickens? And you just know there's gonna be some Machiavellian maneouvers (yes this is the correct 'NZ English' spelling of the word in case you're wondering) and a super-size serving of angst whenever Drusilla's in a story! I'm becoming more and more desperate to understand the circumstances surrounding Buffy and Spike's obviously less than amicable parting too so will wait with baited breath for the next installment. Thanks for keeping my interest with this piece...I rarely review a story more than once so kudos to you. :D

Nice start you've made to this fic. We've got a background starting point and a not so positive impression of Buffy and Spike's current relationship which just makes us want to pull our hair trying to figure out - how did they get here, and how did things come to this? Looking forward to seeing how you'll fill out their backstory and whether a few years of separation and (hopefully) maturation can enable them to find a way back to each other, whether that be simply as friends or (please, please, please) perhaps more.
