Intense beginning...tres cool. Loved the Batman reference, now if you could just work in the "I like to ask that of all my victims" part somewhere I could introduce Cake to Icing, lol. The family dynamic between William and Angel (and their girls) is interesting (bet there's gonna be lots of material you can use in that) and the way it's echoed with Buffy and her (deceased) brother (who is still a presence in this chapter because of how his death impacted her) is a good touch. Will follow this with interest.

Really like this fic alot. How in the world do you redeem Spike in this fic? Very interested to see how you play it out.
