This story looks great so far! I'll admit that I know next to nothing about Japanese history/weaponry, but you make it easy to follow. I'm looking forward to reading more!

Very interesting start! I like the detailed look at the Japanese slayer; will we be seeing more of her? And season 4 is always good. I like the tense relationship you have between Buffy and Willow. I always had a hard time with the way they forgave her so easily. This seems much more realistic to me.

Author's Response: You'll be seeing lots more of Kaede and Takeshi. As for the Something Blue related strife, I want Buffy and Willow reconciled, but I also want Buffy a little off her game at the beginning, which I think she would be so soon after the spell. Thanks for reviewing!

Cool start. Be interesting to see if you have Giles tell Buffy Angel is out of the running because of the soul.
