A very interesting take on things. Keeping Buffy out of the world for so long really changes her outlook on vampires and it was intriguing to see her embrace the vampire world so openly. It was also interesting to see her adjusting to the world as an ex-slave.

a powerful ch. I loved Angelus returning more than anything else. the scene rivals with the scene of spread-eagle slave-spike. It's different but it's as good. the ending was great too; I liked the Slayer's interpretationa nad I can't wait to read what spike will do if he finds out she had fled.

This was an amazing story that was written beautifully. Glad that Buffy and Spike decided to leave and head out on their own. And using the poem at the the end was funny. This was a great fic, and I'm glad you decided to share.

end of the journey! The unexpected turn with Darla showing up lead to the..um, unexpected. Love the Initiative twist. The end seems abrupt, but I do lovethat Buffy and Spike are together and Buffy is happy.

Author's Response: I know the ending was kind of abrupt, but I hope you liked it anyway. I always think a story is never really over because there's always more that could happen, but this seemed the place to end. Thanks for reading it all the way through.

LOVE this story, LOVED the update, can't wait to find out how they'll manage to avoid whatever Angelus has planned, or if instead of avoiding it they confront him and bring him down! (he is sooo overdue a major ass-whipin'!)

Every time I see an update in this story I let out a sigh of relief :-P Please make me sigh again soon!!!
