I liked this, it was cute!!! All she has to do is date him and he would leave town? Damn, he stayed with a crazy woman for a 100 years and she thinks her mood swings will run him off? And the touching was good, and the kissing was better, and the sex made her ears ring and her eyes cross and her toes curl under. Oh yeah, that should run him out of town right away! :D

Author's Response: Thanks! Well, poor Buffy does have a history of running them off! Unfortunately (or, you know, luckily) for her, Spike isn't so easy to get rid of!

Lines I absolutely loved in these chapters~

"And yeah, it was probably wrong that watching him twist something's head off made her all flushed, but the whole situation was so wrong on so many levels that she'd given up on trying to do the moral math."

"She had to look away, because, well, yeah. She was feeling a hundred sorts of scared and conflicted and nervous, but letting him get all touchy had certainly relieved a little tension. But not all of it. There was still plenty of tension. Maybe he could help with that."
(I can practically hear the 'wink, wink, nudge, nudge' in that one).

I also liked the reference to "monster wrestling" that Buffy had used in Season 6~ made me smile. You do a really nice job of alluding to their sexploits and making it very steamy and hot without going into too much depth. Normally, I feel cheated without graphic descriptors (sick & twisted, I know, but....it's Spike~ what more is there to say?), but you really did a nice job of showing the sexual tension and burgeoning relationship. I don't think this one will be running for a helicopter any time soon.

I would love to see you continue this story in the Season 5 timeline against Glory, including the death of her mom, Buffy's death, Spike's reaction to Buffy jumping, his actions in the 147 days she was gone, and his reaction to her return. An absolutely fabulous fiction!!!

Wow!!! That was incredibly, almost unbearably HOT!!! I really really like this story, and this rendtion of Spike and Buffy. When they don't push each other so hard, they seem so perfect for each other, and you are doing a great job of that. I also like the older, wiser vamp being very assured and able to bring Buffy along for the ride~ like the placement of his hands on her back(oh, those hands!) and his gentle insistence that he get to finish what he started. (giggle, giggle) I like the way he can be self-conscious one minute, not wanting to come to the door because Willow and Xander were there, or when they get interrupted on the beach and his voice is shaky~ makes him more loveable. I really like your writing style, and this fic is very polished; no typos, probably unlike this review. ;) I can't wait to read the next set of chapters!
