I loved the scoobies conversation and play by play on where they now think Buffy was. I do not think they realise what they are doing to her and since Buffy isn't really filling them in at all shes kinda to blame here as well.
My heart sinks for Spike fearing the worst for him if he doesn't make he see him for him and not the ghost of his past. If your gonna love William you gotta love who he also becomes.

So Willow told about her conversation with Angel but to the wrong person (I see why she did because the couldn't talk to Buffy). Willow is better with computer than me; she should have found out via the Internet. ~ Leave it to Tara to think of what had happened (even if she was wrong her); I wonder what Giles knows.
Well coming to think there aren't many people Buffy can talk too these days. Maybe Tara would have an 'open ear' but she's still Willow's girlfriend so maybe not a good choice (she would be torn to tell Willow).
Mmmm didn't expect Buffy to find her way to Spike's crypt. Buffy's I just want to pretend for a while makes me wonder if she 'saw' William there or Spike? Even if the gave him a BJ I'm not sure if she gave it to William .... or to Spike. ~ Loved the update :)

It seems like she is taking the lead here I wonder how she will react when Spike responds to her and does not react to being lead so much like William did when they were together.

Thanks for the update. I hope this is not going to be a rehash of Season 6. Buffy should not be allowed to pretend that she is with William and not Spike when they are one in the same. It is not fair to Spike and he has been hurt enough. I don't mind a little angst but I hope that Buffy is not going to live in the land of denail forever and continue to use Spike for her on purpose. Unfortunately, Spike does not have the strength to say no to Buffy because he loves all of her.

This could be either a good or bad thing maybe she will see the William still in Spike or maybe Spike will get hs heart tore out again. Either way I'm addicted and want more.

Buffy's going to see "him" who? Him - Spike or William? She can't picture Spike but sees William and she wants to "pretend" which is so not good and Spike wants her so badly. It's almost like Spike's duster is his Spikeness. Buffy hates it, removes it and Spike perceives himself to once again be "the stammering moron". Even in Series 7 he tries without his coat but it seems like a bit of a security blanket. Christ he still reads the same books - Buffy has to see him for who he is. She knew she could hurt William please let her see she can hurt Spike but she shouldn't. Rambling again when all I really needed to say was it is masterful work, I love it and you made me cry - again.

Author's Response: You hit the nail on the head -- Spike's duster is, to Buffy, the symbol of Spike. By removing the duster, she's making it easier for her to pretend that she is still with William. Of course, we know that in a way, she *is* still with William. But Buffy still has to learn that lesson. Thanks so much for the review! :-D
