Since neither woman had been overly friendly to her, Buffy’s response to this cheerful observation was less than enthusiastic. However, she was surprised to see William frown also.

“Yes,” he said thoughtfully. “I suppose it was…”



( I could be wrong here but Will was having a better time before they all showed up there. And I wonder why hasn't he asked Buffy more about herself.)

We see so much of Buffy's thoughts I wonder what he is thinking. For Buffy must throw him for a loop and yet you know he is watching her all the time it was so sweer to see him talking to her and telling her about himself in the library cause I don't get the impression anyone ever has once again this fic delights me in its storytelling and I look forward to the ball

Author's Response: There will be some slight shift in POV, but I will say that the first part of the story will be pretty much Buffy's with only a glimpse into William's thoughts here and there. It's nice to see they are getting more relaxed around each other and I can't wait for Buffy to go to the ball either in her X-mas dress and bracelet or something else for she will blow Spike er...William away and make old Cecily look like a potholder next to her lol.
I thought it cute William is sneaking in things in conversation when he thinks Elizabeth does not know what he is saying. He is sort of hard to figure out now with Miss Underwood popping up sort of makes me wonder if William had a interest in her before in this story or what will happen next.
Cannot wait for more.

I came across this story last night and I've been sneaking reading it at work and I have to say it is my current favorite story going. It has a sweetness to it and yet you know at some point she will go back to the present time. You have a great hold on me as one of your readers I am dying for the next update.

Author's Response: Yes, I got tired of trying to maintain the website and since I don't really have a web designer's eye (or patience) I just decided to let it go. This story is definitely on track to be finished, but it is turning into a much longer story than originally intended (4 parts instead of 2) so it might be a while before the end. Awwww William he try's so hard and Buffy doesn't know how to read him. It's so romantic watching them stumble into one another. I love this part and yet I am dying to see what happens between now and when she gets back to her own time and faces Spike and how he will handle it and her and see if he shares the same memories.
