Excellent dialogue propelled this heart felt chapter. These two just had bad timing and terrible circumstances for their first time. Spike thought he'd taken advantage and Buffy thought he was just looking for comfort. If their fighting had progressed naturally to some friction other than sniping, they probably would still be in a relationship ten years later.

I can't wait to see where this air clearing leads.

Love it! I'm really enjoying this story. I saw it awhile back and then noticed that updates seemed to be lacking. :( It's good to have some new chapters to read now.

And I'm really interested in seeing how Buffy & Spike get back together.

Spike just leaving, not wanting to add more drama to a life already in turmoil, rings true. Here's hoping the past ten years have screwed his head on a little tighter. Buffy deserves an explanation.
