I loved this story. Wow, the way that you wrote Spike seems so completely realistic. It would have been awesome if that had been in the show instead of what we actually got to see. I love to read fics that show how caring Spike is around Buffy. Good endings are also the best thing. I wish that this would have a sequel even though I know that it says that you won't. So, once again I love this story and I can't wait to read more of your fics.

This was just... gaaaaah, SO stupendous! I love your writing style, particularly the complex sentences and deep vocabulary. You wrote this fic verrrrry well. And the story was realistic and in the proper canonical voices - just spot on in the Spike/Buffy situation at the time. I could really feel the forgiveness and "I want you to want me" in Buffy too at this time in the series. You just write it down so well on paper, and think of the most captivating moments, such as Spike indulging himself in caressing her while he thinks she's asleep. And then she's actually awake and wanting it... spectacular! Most important of all, I could actually see something like this actually happening, if only the show wasn't centered on four people and a past lover. Just great work. Keep it up!

Oh BTW: You forget (with Poppycock too) to set the story as "completed: Yes". There are still people who don't read WIPs :)
Oh how quick things changed.. first worried Buffy touching (checking on) Spike till his declaration that she should stay away and him coming to her rescue again... but now Buffy is hurt. And Spike takes it very personal though is really wasn't his fault.
Awe, Buffy didn't give up :) Loved it a lot.
