What a wonderful, sweet story. I loved the dialogue and it was so refreshing to read a story that I didn't have to wait to hear what happened in the Spuffy part of the story. I liked that the whole story was their story. It was a great read from beginning to end. Well done indeed.

What an excellent story! You can just feel the assurance and calmness of this deep, abiding love that they share just flowing through the whole thing, even though they're not together for the first few chapters. Spuffy doesn't get much better than this...unless you get to see William's reaction to the baby news! But, I love that you left off where you did & left that to the imagination. Kudos to you for a great, well written story.

Hi-- A little shortened & choppy there at the end... this often gives readers the feeling that the author just loses interest & wants to wrap up the story, to get it over with as fast as possible (at least you did finish it, unlike SO many never-finished fics in fic-limbo-land). As the reader, I would've liked to have had more of a glimpse of their new lifestyle together, it's challenges & rewards, & their experiences in more depth.
That said, I enjoyed it, & as always look forward to more from you. You tell great stories, & tell them well.
(Oh, & sorry about the lack of wordwrap, but am reading & posting from my cell phone's browser til my laptop is back in the game...)

I enjoyed this chapter; she is home or will he need to spell it out more for her for her to understand; she is kind of dense sometimes. I liked the line “You told me you knew something that you would give it all up for.” He just looked at her expectantly. “Me.” That was brilliant! To give up his dreams for her love? That really moved me. Thanks for such a tender story.

Awe :) I wasn't sure how the conversation would go but it went almost well. Spike explained his reason very well and why he can't continue the way he lives. Now it depends on Buffy...
Looking forward to the next part; I'm not sure I'll read the WIP on LJ, maybe I'm waiting to read it here, I'll see how busy I get.

Ah I see: Buffy has no friends with whom she can talk about Spike, how she misses him, is still in love with him and know that they won't betray her trust.
And now William is really there :)
~ I'm looking forward what Buffy will say after her first reaction: "William?!"
I hope she will be as glad as I think she is. Maybe worried about Spike's career.

Not talking about what you want (thinks) doesn't help to let the other know. Seems Spike learned that the hard way.
I'm glad that he still misses Buffy, he even is about to give up one dream to get another one back that is more important (precious) to him. He doesn't know that Buffy still loves him, he just hopes. Seems as if he doesn't hope in vain :)
