I love this story! I just caught up on all six chapters and I'm very happy I did. The dance moment was really sweet, letting Buffy be just Buffy amidst the turmoil. Beautiful!

Wow that was fast :) I really like the interaction between the 2 of them, the fact that she can relax when he's near her. Curious about the tinglies though... maybe she's a potential slayer or something? I'm just guessing here :) I'm looking forward to the next update!

Author's Response: Well, the tinglies were because of whatever was lurking in the shadows. What that has to do with the Slayer is a mystery for now.... :)

You can't say that Buffy has her eyes closed... she noticed well that Fred brings Spike something she doesn't get to see and that he doesn't eat much (even if she doesn't know what it means, not even in her dreams *gg*).
And that his hands are cold even if she had to dance with him to notice that ;-) Even if it took Cordelia to convince her to do that.
Tease! So there is a Slayer too? I wonder who it is. And hopefully the Slayer will let Spike do his job without interfering.

Haha trust me. I'm 5'3. Spike is significantly taller than Buffy. Short girls like me make even not so tall guys like Spike look big standing next to us. *pout*

You have Spike wearing an ankle bracelet? Lol since when is that punk? Sounds more like cross-dressing to me.

I do like the premise. I read another story like that before on Spuffy Realm but unfortunately it hasn't been updated in ages and I suspect it will remain that way. But now I have this fic to look forward to, so it's all good. :)

Will there be smut? Sorry to sound like a perv but I do like my porn on the side of good character voices and well written plot.

Author's Response: Okay, so an ankle bracelet isn't punk, but wearing a lot of jewelry is (like he used to). And the ankle bracelet, well, it's something he needs to keep hidden. :) Maybe we read the same fic! I've seen several Spike bodyguard stories, but there was one where he was human and she was the Slayer. So I thought, what about him being a vampire and her not being the Slayer, and then the whole thing just worked itself out in my head. As well as branching off in a completely different direction once I got started. As for smut, right now, probably not. I've got an 18 rating (R on another site), and while there will be something, it won't be smutty smut. Though, who knows, the rating could go up later, but right now I don't plan for it to. Thanks for the review!

Author's Response: Glad you're liking it! Sorry about the chapters. :) It seems to be easier for me to write shorter chapters and update quicker. Plus, I keep hitting "stopping points" about every 1200 words or so.
