Very powerful chapter. The inevitable is hardly ever enjoyable but unfortunately we have to face it. I think you did a good job of showing that. I'm not exactly sure how things are going to turn out for Spike and Buffy but I'm hoping for the best. I really do like evil vamp Buffy who loves Spike.

I didn't think Spike would do it. This story has taken on a whole new level. I can't wait to see where this is going.

well, i wish i would have known about this before i started reading, i don't like stories where buffy gets turned, i usually avoid character death ones, so i was hoping he wouldn't go through with it. now buffy is going to be a killer, i'm not sure how i feel about this anymore.

Well, at least sometimes Riley made her happy, but the things she has to go through now that she took the blinders off about Spike.
So I wonder if the detective noticed the marks on her neck?

Oh what a cliffhanger!! I knew Riley was going to get his ass killed. Stupid ponce. I wonder if Spike will turn her though. Will he refuse, given that she's grieving and confused, or will he take what he wants? MAN I love your stories!!! Looking forward to seeing what happens next!

I had a feeling when Buffy finally allowed herself to admit the truth, she'd go a little crazy. That said, her asking Spike to turn her was a bit of a surprise.

Still, it makes perfect sense that he mind would go in that direction. She doesn't want to leave Spike. She can't go on as she has been, knowing he's killing people. She knows vampires don't care about the humans that become food. If she becomes a vampire, she gets to keep Spike and she knows she won't care anymore about the people he's killing. Logically, it makes sense, but she's definitely not thinking about the consequences of such a rash decision. Much like when she was ignoring the realities of Spike's feeding, she just needs to be with Spike so desperately, and wants to just make any obstacles to that go away.

I think Spike will very easily realize that Buffy is a hot mess right now, and that her request is really not to be taken seriously. But then again, I never know what you've got planned, so I guess I'll have to wait until the next chapter to see for sure.
