Holy cow! I didn't know what to expect, but this definitely surprised. :) I love Anya's blase attitude about vamps! And poor Spike, he was trying to be good. This is going to be explosive, isn't it? YAY! :D

Well I don't know how Buffy's going to feel but, i'm glad the suckers dead , couldn't stand him for another second and besides he started it, hope she understands it was kill or be killed. Update this fantastic fic again soon.

Never thought about that, that Buffy's wounds wouldn't heal properly. No slayer healing...
The big confrontation. Uh-huh... Riley really was stupid to continue his attack when he noticed against what he was fighting. Spike did his best but in the end it was self-defense. But how will Buffy see this?

I hope Buffy understand this was mostly self defense. I can understand getting all freaked out if Spike had hunted Riley down and killed him but hell... Riley almost got lucky and threw Spike out of the window into the sunlight. If i almost died i think i might go a little overboard with my attacker.

Certainly got the better of him there. So many ways for this to all fall out, now. Though I'm glad that I don't have to watch over my shoulder for a daytime attack from the over grown boy scout, I do wonder how Buffy will respond... especially given all the thinking she was doing earlier today. Great chapter. Can't wait to see what happens next.

I thought you'd have Spike just kill Riley straight off but he really tried not to have to do it which showed a huge amount of restraint because as we know he's still feeding. Now the big question is will Spike tell Buffy he's offed her husband? Loved it.

Oh! Oh! My heart stopped. Not good, not good at all. Not that I'm crying over Riley or anything, but Buffy's rose colored glasses about Spike's true nature are definitely going to be smashed to bits when she finds out what happened, even if Spike was just trying to defend himself. Can't wait for more!

Self defense. Spike went to extra effort to not hurt Riley, before Riley put *him* in danger. If Spike was human and being pushed towards fire, instead, I wouldn't blame him for the death of his attacker in efforts to not die. I think Buffy will see that......it'll help that Spike has burns on him, as it's more obvious that he didn't just kill Riley as soon as he walked in the door.

Anya's hilarious. Keep it up.
