Glad they made up! Of course, not a proponant of RL affairs w/the underage, but hey, this is pure fantasy! Last I knew, so long as it didn't involve looking at or participating in pictures, etc, w/underagers, it wasn't against any laws! LOL!

Will you be 'splaining how he came up w/the ideas for bleaching his hair, (smoking?), all black, exception being the blood-red shirt, Docs (see you specify Will wore tennis shoes like I notice JM wears a lot onstage---heard him in some interview say the boots were unconscionably heavy, and besides, JM needs something he can bounce in---he seems like a hyper energizer bunny or Tigger or something from taped stuff I've seen), and I'm assuming contacts....? And the name/persona (per this fic)?
BTW, perhaps I missed it---how old is Willow supposed to be? Here, I gathered about 17, maybe nearly 18? Quite an age gap at these ages, really, 23 & 17, to be bestest friends already, perhaps? Not so huge, even at 21 & 28, or 28 & 35, 45 & 52, and less and less later on, but early on it seems quite a developmental gap. Where does their connection come in?

What won't do will be evident w/in the first few lines of the next chappie, but you were spot on in one of your two guesses:-P
There won't be sex on the balcony (at least not in the chapters I've written so far, which go up to Ch. 20) There will, however, be smut in the next chapter, and it will involve an... alternative kind of penetration...
I am not planning to explain Will's rational for 'Spike', I thought that him wanting to look older was explanation enough. (loved the whole JM bouncing like an energizer bunny visual!!! LOL) The name stemmed from their previous conversation whereupon he told Buffy he was her pet and she could just put a leash on him and call him Spike.
Willow is nearing 17, just like Xander and Spike, and I know it's kind of unusual for a close friendship to develop with such an age-gap, but Willow is mature for her age, and I don't think she acts as Buffy's best friend, more as a support system for what William/Spike wants, and this extends to supporting Buffy.

*Sighs with exhaustion* I hope I covered you to some degree. Please let me know if I failed miserably in doing so:-P

Seems Xander doesn't like the idea of William and Buffy together. But mostly because he wants to protect him / him not getting hurt.
But he will support William if he can; good for him.
I thought first that Willow had said something in the kitchen to Buffy. But not directly. Buffy didn't know that the others already know.
Well I hope things get fixed soon.

I am glad that Xander was actually concern for Spike. That a lot of people would think that it is wrong of Buffy to sleep with him. And that she can get into trouble.

I can understand where Buffy is coming from. She is just afraid of getting caught so she calls Xander and him kids. But I can also understand where Spike is coming from. She is sleeping with him. And I am sure Buffy isn't thinking kid when her and Spike are being intimate.

Author's Response: I'm happy you could relate to what everyone felt, I thought for a while that maybe reactions were too far-fetched (Willow and Xander too accepting, Buffy too defensive, Spike too easily upset), but then I decided that since three of them are teenagers they should act their age. The characters in the show had been forced to grow up (in some ways) by the fact that they were living on the Hellmouth, and this had also made them more suspicious.
