Really glad that Buffy and Spike finally talked, even though it was awkward and whatnot. You had me worried there for a bit. Happy that they are making some headway, even though its slow.

And...BAD XANDER! Shame on him for jumping to conclusions about people without knowing the truth behind their actions. Not that I would expect anything other than that from him. Big pooh-head! Really happy to see that Buffy isn't letting his opinions make up her mind about Spike.

I had some problems with Xander in the show for the way he treated Spike, but in my stories I've always written him as the Good Guy. Well Buffy's plan to include Spike didn't go well. But all because of Xander's reaction. I would call it overreacting. He was so hostile and didn't have a reason for it. *wonders why*

Stupid Xander! He's always doing that I hate any guy who isn't me that hangs around Buffy thing. And Spike's weakness for Buffy is so cute and a very good sign that things may be getting better for him. Looking forward to their next meeting!

Xander just lends a grand example to the term "Dickhead", doesn't he? As far as Buffy's concerned, he just can't seem to think with anything else. But then, again, there's the saying "it takes one to know one"...and not only in the dickhead venue. My guess would be Xander and Spike recognise something in each other, are perhaps members of the mutual club of survivors (term used loosely) of child abuse/molestation/incest, given the insinuations usually garnered about X's relationship with his parents/father.
Very interesting how you bring "canon" principles into this setting, and steep them into these characterizations.

God, what a jerk. he's just judging spike on some stupid rumors, he doesn't even know anything about him. i hate people like that, xander really needs to grow up, and to say that she must be sleeping with him, ugh. i'm glad spike is at least trying, but he still needs a lot of work. i'm hoping for some happy spuffy in this one, even though i don't see that happening for a while.

Spike's bad reputation is well known, if you count Xander in. And indeed Buffy and Spike met again in person. Now things could get interesting because of the way they were last time they've met (Spike's behavior).
