I haven't been reviewing much, anything actually, the last couple of weeks, but I'm defintly still with you! Do you have any idea how happy you made with the last three sentences?! Well, very, very happy!!

I can't help but be irritated with S for not standing up to himself, but at the same time I can clearly see why he doesn't. I think it makes him very human, so it's good.

This is such a great story and I can't wait to see what'll happen next!

OK so Spike can focus on Ethan hurting someone other than himself - which is good - but please don't let him do anything stupid - because he'll be the one to get into trouble. Another very moving chapter - really good in a not good sort of way.

You know one thing that I noticed with your writing. It isn't a bad thing but just something I noticed. Is that like half your chapter or so is the the characters are thinking about how they are feeling and stuff. There is dialogue of course but also a lot of them thinking to themselves. Again, not a bad thing but something I just noticed.

Can't wait for another update..

Author's Response: I guess you're right. I would never be able to write a story with almost only dialogue, to me the characters feelings and emotions are practically the most important thing in the story. Thanks for leaving a review!

Too bad (but understandable) that Spike has problems to fight against Ethan.
Ah look there: Spike can't fight against Ethan when it's about him, Spike.
But when it is about Buffy he has the courage to do what's needed :) Even if that is fighting against him. :)

HELL YA, I HOPE SPIKE KICKS HIS ASS AND GOES AND GETS BUFFY!! i LOVE this story and am so happy that u updated. i cant believe wat a piece of shit ethan is and wat hes planning on doing to buffy. i hope that spike takes care ethan, sends his ass to hell and goes and saves buffy. also maybe willow and xander went to get her and shes going to come and save spike from doing something he'll regret. either way i hope that things work out and that they end up together and happy. PLEASE update as soon as u can, im DYING wait to read more. THANX

Wow. I mean- wow. Your ability to portray this kind of character development is impressive, and the progression is realistic. I like that you don't make Spike magically better when he falls for Buffy, and that you've given Buffy enough perspective and self-confidence to stick with a man this badly damaged without losing her sense of self. I love your portrayal of the tenderness between the two of them, especially the fact that you're blunt about the fears someone who's been sexually abused would have of physical and emotional intimacy. Your flashes of the abuse Spike endured are both heartbreaking and sickening, and it takes talent to portray it graphically enough to give it the impact of a bludgeon without once seeming prurient or unsympathetic. Very, very well written. I look forward to seeing Spike face his demon and defeat him.
