Awesome chapter as always! I just loved Spike's realization that meaningless sex is just not cutting it any longer. And I don't think I could hate Angelus any more than I already do. He's much more of a pig than Spike would ever hope to be. Thank God! And of course, I adore every scene where Buffy and Spike interact and Spike's growing feelings for her. *happy sigh* I'm looking forward to more! Angel being all charming and boyish while really just being on the prowl, trying to get to Buffy before Spike does puts my teeth on edge. Buffy thinks she can handle him, but he's slippery. It's no wonder Spike is anxious. Oh, Spike, getting in another girl's pants isn't going to drive Buffy from your mind. Silly idiot! I love your Cordelia. She's perceptive and pushy and very funny.
The slapstick routine with Angel and Spike and Buffy at the front door was hilarious. I love the image of that door slamming in Angel's face again and again and again.
Thanks for another tight chapter in this wildly entertaining story.

As for Spike - he's very thick-headed, it's going to take him a bit before he wakes up - but not too much longer. Should you decide to post a bit early, I really wouldn't mind. I just have to wonder if Angelus is going to be as obviously awful as Parker was, or if it's going to take a while for his to worm his way close to her. Hmm, first time I was annoyed after reading a chapter, because it´s not screwball comedy anymore, but a bitch and a pig rolling around in the dirt. You are nothing to me, and then those last three lines....
I can´t see anything positive or even why those two should end up together at all anymore. There isn´t anything good between them, that makes it all seem worth it.
Brilliantly written, as always, but I´m a bit depressed by this right now.
